Have you ever wondered what the best way to stay hydrated is while enjoying a whole day outdoors? The Oasis 1200 by TETON Sports comes with a leakproof 3-Liter hydration bladder and is thoughtfully designed with plenty of room for all the gear you want to keep handy. Rehydrate easily—wherever your adventure may take you. The Oasis 1200 hydration pack is a 20-Liter backpack designed to fit close to the body and weighs only 2.45 pounds unfilled. You can adjust the shoulder, chest, or waist straps to get a custom fit. It comes in a variety of colors and includes features normally seen on more expensive packs such as a shock absorbing chest strap, built-in safety whistle, and reflective trim. This super comfortable pack includes a thick air mesh back panel with 1/2” foam pads that fit tightly to minimize bounce. Shoulder straps have comfort-taped mesh with a notched foam stabilizer. The Oasis 1200 includes a free 3-Liter hydration bladder with a large opening to make cleaning easy. You will want to wash your bladder before your first use: Rinse out your bladder and hose with lemon juice or soap and warm waters—then let your bladder dry out completely before reassembling it. You may need to prop the bladder open with paper towels to allow it to dry completely. Once it is dry, reassemble it. Be sure to tighten the hose at the base of the bladder—the O-ring gasket needs to sit down into the receiver so it can seal properly--this will prevent leaking. The kink-free sip tube is lightweight, but durable and the cushioned bite valve is easy to open or close: simply pull the mouth piece to open it and push it closed when you’re done drinking. To avoid drinking warm water, remember to drain the hose before you take your next sip. This can be done by blowing the water back into the bladder after each use. To lengthen the life of your hydration bladder: • Only use water in the bladder—acidic juices, alcohol, or milk will promote growth and corrosion • This bladder should not be exposed to temperatures over 120°F or under 0°F • After every use, thoroughly clean the bladder, tube, and valve with a, detergent • Avoid prolonged exposure to UV light • And keep your bladder away from sharp objects

Wish they made backpacks!
The Teton Sports Oasis. 1200 - has a 20 L capacity and is, hands down, the most comfortable and well-designed backpack I've ever worn. If they made larger capacity ones for overnights, I'd buy one in a heartbeat. This little beauty of a daypack has ALL the bells and whistles you'd want in a regular pack. It's logically and thoughtfully constructed, tons of room, fits beautifully with so much room for personal adjustment - hip pockets that actually work when packed to the gills and being worn!!! that feature is something lacking in both my overnight packs and irks me! - tons of pockets. It doesn't have specific pole loops, but I could never figure those out while wearing a pack anyway - but I slide my poles down into the little outside pouch (not the tiny mesh one) but the one created between the front large zipper compartment and the main body of the pack) and can simply reach back and grab them when I need them. And I can actually reach the side pockets to grab my water or my sunblock while I'm wearing it. And I can overstress how well this thing fits and how comfortable it is - I routinely carry 20-25 pounds on my day hikes (I consider it training!) and it has held up admirably!

Great product. Holds a generous amount of water.
Great quality. It does take a little time to get used to the bite valve but once you get it you'll find the flow of water is more than adequate. I found the fit and comfort to be on par with more expensive packs. There is a generous amount of storage and pockets for long day hikes. I recently took this pack on a 12 mile four peak trip in the White Mountains. When I removed it at the end of the day I didn't have any excessive back or shoulder strain due to fit. I was pretty sweaty but that is to be expected. Don't let any of these companies fool you with fancy T-shaped venting bla bla bla. Short of having someone else carry the pack for the day there is nothing you can do to prevent this, nor should you care. You're hiking for god sake. I found the built in rain-fly very useful. I put cliff bars in the pockets located in the waist strap. They were easy to access while hiking. All in all it is a well made product for relatively short money.

Perfect for all-day hikes
Love this pack. I'm 5'10" and it fits perfectly. Yes, the 3L bladder takes up a lot of room in the main compartment, but that's fine with me. I'm using this for long day hikes and lots of room for water is important. It still has plenty of room for some rain gear, first aid kit, and the rest of the 10 essentials every hiker should have plus lunch. Probably not big enough for any overnight trips, but it works perfectly for all-day hikes in the mountains. I like the straps on the side to pull everything tight. I've taken it bushwhacking through thick chaparral and it's held up fine. I've had no problems with twisting straps like other reviewers have complained about. I haven't used the rain fly yet, but having it is convenient. The tip on the bladder is a little tricky at first, but you just have to bite the tip and it works just fine. This is my second Teton item (I also have the trail runner) and both bladder have been fine with no leaks.

Excellent day pack
I'm comparing this to my Osprey hydration pack which costs almost twice as much. In some ways this pack is actually better. Some features this pack has that are missing from the Osprey are side, mesh pockets for water bottles, hip belt pockets, whistle buckle, rain cover, and cooling padding. Some features that are missing are magnetic mouthpiece clip and water tube zipper. The 100 oz bladder opens completely at the top allowing for easy cleaning and addition of ice. The slide across clip is a little tight and is more difficult to remove and put on than the Osprey or Camelbak reservoir seals. It's possible a little talcum powder would fix this. The water tube pushes through a narrow hole in the pack and is held in place with a fabric loop on the chest strap. This is more awkward than the Osprey which zippers the water tube into the chest strap. You might think you don't need extra water bottles on a hydration pack, but it makes sense to have a bottle of Gatorade or Perpetuem in addition to pure water. The hip belt pockets are perfect for storing an energy bar or two. There's a lot of room in this pack. In the attached photograph my wife has a rain-proof poncho in the reservoir compartment, a light long-sleeved shirt in the zip-up compartment behind that, also bug spray, a first aid kit and food in the small zip-up, and her collapsed hiking poles in the expandable compartment in between. There's room for quite a bit more. The pack has three padded areas facing your back that push the pack slightly away from your body allowing air to circulate. It's very comfortable. The chest strap actually has a bright orange whistle embedded in the buckle. There is a rain cover hidden at the base of the pack in a small velcro-closed compartment. It's a moment's work to pull the cover out and protect the entire pack. No other hydration pack I've ever owned has this feature. The bite valve is the older kind with a slit that opens when you bite down on it. It can be locked by pushing the valve towards the tube and opened by pulling it away. It took us a while to figure that out.In short, this is an excellent day pack with plenty of room, many features, and it's very comfortable.

Great bag, leaky water sack
I love this bag for hiking. It's so comfortable, and has great storage options for hiking nerds who carry stuff like me "Go pro, food, clothes, knives, etc).I wasn't crazy about the color, but the blue and grey was all they had. And hey it's on my back anyway.I tried the included water bag once and hated it. It leaked at the connection point, and was very hard to get open and closed. Maybe I was using it wrong, but I prefer to use good old water bottles anyway, and the side pouches on the bag are plenty big enough for 1 litre bottles.I found it a tad expensive at $71 Canadian, but now that I have it, it's my go to day hike bag. The quality of the material is strong, and doesn't feel cheap.I've used it a dozen times, and even loaded with full fishing gear, including a camping chair packed inside of it. Love the bag.

Worth the money
The bag is great. Really comfy and lots of compartments. Nice touch adding the waterproof cover aswell.Only thing i will say that is bad. When drinking water from the water bladder it tastes like plastic. But i didn't buy the bag for that so that is why i still give 5 star.Update. Used it twice and then found a rip along a zip been sent a replacement so see how that goes. But its down to 4 star now.
