Have been using to water my flowers for 3 years without fail
I bought this pair to hook up to an ESP32, to run the drip misters on my ferns and roses. Managed to get them running on the same PSU. Wired in a flyback resister and they're perfect. Honestly I have treated them like total crap - I just 3D printed a little cap to keep the connectors covered, and left them exposed to the elements - and they're still going strong, cycling several times per day, 3 Southern summers later.Lots of misunderstandings among the reviews here, people are not reading the specs fully. You do need a minimum pressure for it to work, I use ~25psi and it's fine. Also the solenoid is cooled by the water flowing through - if you run it dry, you will burn it out quickly.I'm writing this because I came back to but a few more pairs, create a few mini-manifolds around my yard.

Valve's good, 3 stars for incorrect quantity
I'm usually not inclined to leave critical reviews, but I was sent two valves instead of three as advertised, which is a significant error and always kills my willingness to buy again from the same seller. That said, I only needed one for the intended application (DIY swamp cooler water flow control), and the valve I used tested fine and is working fine now. It's wired to a simple switch so that I can operate the externally mounted swamp cooler from inside my truck (specifically deciding whether to have water flowing or not or just operate the fan, which I have on a separate switch), and I'm glad I decided to go ahead and add this feature instead of having to get out (and thus lose cool air) to manually turn the water flow on and off. They seem to be well manufactured and the sizing is all correct, so they matched with the adapters etc. I got to connect them to the tubing I chose. (Disclaimer: I only tested the function of the valve I used, and didn't bother testing the other one, but it's a solenoid valve, it's not like they're easy to mess up, so I'm sure it's probably fine.) Looking forward to using the other one for any of a few future projects. And to be fair, at this price point, two for the price was still the best deal on Amazon. Just not inclined to rate highly when three are advertised and two are sent.

What You Need To Know - Not US Thread
First, these are priced right, but I wouldn't expect the plastic valve body to last as long as a Brass valve body. I did a lot of research to check the thread specs and these are 1/2 inch, but they are British (International) 1/2 inch and not NPT (US Standard). Similar, but a different thread pitch and profile, so yiu COULD force an NPT fitting on these plastic threads, but it will ruin the threads and will likely leak. You need a 1/2 inch adapter - 1/2 NPS Female - for the input (the side with the power terminals) and the same - 1/2 NPS Female - for the outlet side. NPS fittings requires a Rubber sealing washer, much like your garden hose does because the threads DON'T seal, like NPT does. MY PROJECT: I'm using these in a custom-made three-zone hot water recirc system, and I'm using 1/2 inch PEX for my return (recycle) lines. So I bought 1/2 inch Female NPS to 1/2 inch NPT Male adapters, and 1/2 inch NPT to 1/2 Inch PEX adapters. So the overall length - with adapters - is 8 inches! With these adapters included, the cost per Valve - the REAL COST - is over $25 per valve. So it's going to take awhile to recover the cost (from not wasting 4 gallons of water waiting for actual Hot water). MOUNTING: The four mounting posts under the valve have small unthreaded holes, so I suggest you pre-drill them to accept your own screws. The mounting posts are accurately Square, with post center to center at exactly 25 mm. That's just a smidge (2/125) under an inch. One inch will work, though. I'm going to buy some spare Solenoid Valves for if (when) these fail. I'll be looking for Brass ones now.

Great little valves!
I use them for my greenhouse and converted a sprinkler controller to 12v dc for their operation. Don’t forget the diode block!!! These only hold pressure in the forward direction so back flowing will allow slippage. Will post a YouTube (under the valve name) on installing soon.

they shipped the wrong product
I ordered 2 sets, (total 4). I got 6 which is great and was very happy. I hooked everything up for a irrigation project just to find out that they shipped me two 8mpa (116psi) solenoids and four 1mpa (14psi). This was so frustrating because I spent weeks getting everything set up just to find out the solenoids shut if any water pressure is in the line. I would reorder if I knew they would ship the 8mpa ones but it looks like a lot of people have this problem. DO NOT ORDER THESE unless you like to gamble or can use 1mpa solenoids.

Tested and it seems to work
Got this for a project and it seems to work when I quickly tested it.
