USED IN BOAT.SEATS SEEM TO BE GOOD QUALITY.NOT THE MOST COMFORTABLE AS I AM 5' 11" TALL.THE SEAT FITS ME FINE BUT THE BACK REST IS NOT HIGH ENOUGH. IF YOUR AN EXTRA LARGE PERSON DON;T LET THE EXTRA WIDE STATMENT SELL YOU.THE ARM REST ARE WAY TO LOW BUT I CUT PEICES OF 1" STARBOARD TO RAISE THEM UP AND THERE OK NOW.

you are not going to sit and relax for days on these but they do the job and look decent.

Got this seat and another in a previous transaction.Both are sturdy due to the plastic construction and the pads are comfortable.The " universal" mounting plate that they provide to adapt the seat to your existingpedestal is junk. First it does not line up properly and they installed " Hammered in" nutsto hold the pedestal to it. Soon as you install it and sit down the nuts come right out and the seatand your self take a dive. Same for my other helm seat. I figured out a way to "McGeyver" both seats.I was going to call Moeller but figured, what are they going to do? send me the same item that will not work.If you are not a self doer, don't buy this.

Okay, here is the deal.I had to place order twice to get this chair. My first order was lost within UPS guys.After 2+ weeks of struggle, finally had received my package.Issues:1. Not really an "extra-wide" chair. The chair's description says "extra-wide" but I am a middle sized man but I can barely fit in this chair. I am wondering why they call this chair an "extra-wide?" Honestly, more like a small-middium sized chair. Even the back support only touches up to my lower back.2. The mounting plate came with this chair but there are not screws or bolts in the package. How am I supposed to mount this chair? Tie it down with a rope or something? Also, the mounting plate is made with PVC or something (not metal) but the thread inside the holes are made with metal and I don't think it's stainless steel. So beware if you want to mount this chair on a ocean purpose boat(s). Don't be fooled by "mounting plate set!" They should note that "no hardware included."3. Not very comfortable than I expected.4. There are some grey colored finger marks on the plastic white chair (not very pretty)5. Some permanent marks on the back rest cushion (they packed together with armrest cushion and backrest together, thus left imprinted marks onto the backrest, very disappointing).This chair can be very comfortable for a 5 year old child. If you are an adult and preparing to use this chair as a captain's chair on your boat, look somewhere else.The true value for this chair in my personal oppinion.... is $45 including free shipping.

As others have said, this seat is not extra wide. If you're a big person you wont fit. Otherwise it is a good value and mounting was fairly easy with the mount which was sent.Packaging by Amazon was terrible. The box was unsealed; no cushoning was used; and, the seat shows shipping marks (I note others had the same experience----shame on you Amazon.)

These seats are excellent quality for the price. They are described as extra wide but fall short of the description. Overall I am very pleased with the seats. Just got to make sure my but doesnt get any bigger.

After two trips fishing one of the the t-nuts has pulled out of the mounting plate. At the price I expected something a bit more solid. I would not buy them again nor suggest them at the price. You would be better off with another product. As for the extra wide size they are narrow I would hate to see an adult try to sit in the regular size.Sad and out a lot of money. Seriously considering shipping them back since the product is defective.
