The French Market: More Recipes from a French Kitchen

I love this book. It has some wonderful recipes (I have tried several so far and they have all turned out great), and some really nice pictures. This is not French cuisine that is very technical or "fussy". It is more countryside French food and most of the dishes are easy to prepare and rely on fresh ingredients. If you think you cant cook French food this book will show you that you can. I think you will really enjoy it.

I have loved Joanne Harris' cookbooks and her novels. I enjoy the simplicity of the recipes and the colorful pictures that create a French country vibe. The book doesn't take itself too seriously. The dishes I've made from it were delightful. My only complaint was that some of the traditional dishes were not included and I found myself having to search through cookbooks that are not as cheery for the recipes. It is a book that is fun to use, but it's also a book that is fun to browse through and enjoy the scenery and imagined taste.

I have had this book for a while and it is one of my favorite cookbooks. There are several recipes that have become staples. Most of the recipes are fairly simple except for those that are intended to be more advanced and they are worth the effort. I would recommend this cookbook to anyone who is looking for more rustic French recipes and it does have many of the basics.

Very nice book with photos and clear directions. The price is right as well as the quality of the binding, it should last for a long time.

J'ai acheté un livre de recettes de cuisine françaises, traduites en anglais, sur antoineonline.fr (via Amazon). Le délai proposé au départ n'a pas du tout été respecté. Il a fallu attendre très très très longtemps avant de recevoir le produit et envoyer de nombreux mails de protestation, auxquels on m'a d'ailleurs toujours répondu.Par contre, le livre est arrivé en très bon état (bien emballé, bien protégé).
