This is perfect for me!
In the past, I only used those lighters which are used by most smokers. (No, I myself have never smoked cigarettes.) However, I did use one of those lighters to start a fire, light a candle, etc. Sometimes, those lighters just didn't work right and yet, that happened at the most inconvenient times. Not any more! With this lighter, all I have to worry about is whether or not it is charged and yet, it even came in the mail with some charge having left in it. I used it on several candles I have at my disposal and it works great! With one of them gas-filled lighters, I had no way of lighting one specific scented candle which is now deep inside a cup; so, it's nearly impossible to light using one of those old lighters. Nonetheless, by using this new lighter, I wouldn't care even if the candle leftovers are at the very bottom of a cup; I'm going to get it!Let there be light!

It has no flame.
I thought that I was buying a torch lighter for candles. But, When it lights, it only has a tiny wire that goes across. It lights but without any flame. I couldn’t believe it would light much of anything. However, it works pretty well. Sometimes, though it’s a little tough to get the wick lit.I don’t know how well it would work for a cigar.I kept it, but I don’t think I would order it again.

Worked for a while
When it worked, it was great. I used it to light a gas barbecue and I didn't have to worry about wind blowing out a flame. I've had it since April 2019. It still takes a charge, but will no longer spark. I think something may have snapped when I bent the flexible arm to reach into the BBQ. Too bad. I may order a replacement, I liked it so much.

Fantastic for Disabled, Handicap, Arthritic People
My 93-year-old mother is unable to light a match or use those flame-gun things because they require pressing down so hard for ignition. This product, though, is a breeze!!! Anyone easily can use it to light a gas stove burner. The only thing to be aware of is not to overcharge it in a USB port (2 hours max).

Better than expected
Good-bye to those butane torches. Especially, the new ones with those safety triggers, you need to be really a macho man to pull them. Tried on the stove, candles, very easy and no flame. Good job.

Much easier to use than most fuel based lighters
With age her hands have made it harder to use the "do two things at once" fuel based lighters. This one does the trick with only one finger and no dual action. Great for people that have issues with hands.

At first, mostly good, but died in a couple of weeks - but got a new replacement from seller
It was kinda cool at first, not quite as easy as a regular lighter, but the idea was wonderful. But it died in a couple of weeks of use, so that makes it pretty useless.Update: The seller sent me a new one for free, which is much appreciated! So far, this one seems to be lasting longer, so I'm hopeful.

Cool gadget gets the job done
I got this primarily for lighting my gas grill (instead of replacing the grill's igniter). It's definitely great for that and also good for lighting candles. However, it takes long enough to light a candle wick that I don't recommend it for birthday candles.
