Even though the terminology caused me to slow down somtimes, Schwalbe’s prose was not too overwhelming. A lot of books focus on one topic in IT project management or general project management. Other books take a more relational approach based on practical experience. This book does neither; instead, it provides a comprehensive overview of the field in an academic manner. That’s why it’s a mainstay in the field and could see a tenth edition sometime. IT will continue to add business value over coming decades, and this book will teach interested readers to leverage it to benefit their organizations and customers. It good book that REALLY goes into details
This would be good book if you looking into project management through a IT perspective. This book seems to less suggestion of the project management handbook become more of requirements the more she keeps beating over the head. Especially when you trying understand deeper about the info. This really does go deep in depth about it.

Quality text book which i am using as part of my masters. An easy to read book

Has valuable information about project management. However, this book is very dry and bland. The author has no personality and I do not find the examples very engaging. Sometimes when I am reading this book I think to myself "Did I just pay $150 for a PMP advertisement/marketing"
