These are the best bang for the buck work/hiking boots available
These are the best bang for the buck work/hiking boots available. They are very stable, have wonderful arch and ankle support, are extremely durable and provide all-day comfort. I have been wearing these boots for 10 years and every time I try something else I'm disappointed and go right back to them. I wear them daily and put them through their paces. I typically get a year out of a pair and find that to be more than adequate given the abuse that they take. I have a number of other pairs of Danner boots, most of which are USA made and these are of similar quality and comfort. They are not recraftable, but that doesn't bother me because they are so reasonably priced. The only real negative I have noticed is the sole can be a little slippery on ice. The laces also wear out faster than the boots and I have not been able to find an exact replacement.

Great Product
I've been wearing Danner Acadias as a duty boot for over 20 years and have been pleased with the fit and quality of the Danner boots.These Danner radicals were recommended by a co-worker.I wore them 14 hours the first day and 16 hours the next and they are very comfortable.They needed no breaking in.I haven't worn them in wet conditions yet so I can't say how well they will do.The temperature was in the high 90s the first few days I wore these Radicals and with a pair of Smartwool socks on, my feet were not hot. I would recommend these boots for anyone wanting a good fitting, attractive, and well built boot.

Perfect fit
Excellent boots. This is my 6th pair. They seem to last about one year with every day wear and tear.

... to expensive Merrimels and these are by far the best I've worn
I've worn several types/brands of boots from the cheapo hiking boots to expensive Merrimels and these are by far the best I've worn. I've owned 3 pairs of these they are that comfortable. I'm on my feet in the elements all day, every day doing landscaping/mowing even snow removal. My feet stay dry as a bone in even the worst rain. Hardly any break in period, maybe a couple hours (for me), sizes are right in line and did I say comfortable! I only have 3 grips...first the soles are made of a very soft rubber and the best I've got out of a pair is about 9-10 months before the tread is completely worn. Second, the laces are very long and seem to come untied usually at the worst possible time. Lastly is the price! These are good boots but just wishing I'd get more than a year out of them for 150-200 buck price range.

Second set of these boots, I liked them so much
The only thing I wish is that they were resole-able, which these are not according to Danner.I love the sole because they're high traction in most conditions. They're a little slippery on some wet concretes, but otherwise, they're pretty darn good. VIBRAM soles outperform these for traction, but these last longer - there's always a trade, ya know?My last pair lasted several years of being worn nearly 7 days a week before the soles wore out. They remained waterproof until the normal end of life. Then all the way to the bitter end because I wasn't ready to give them up even with no traction lugs left on the soles. While they started to leak a little after one sole cracked all the way through the upper, that boot was *completely* worn out; I wore the sole through the shank.I wear mine for just about everything - I ride my motorcycle to work in them every day, hiking, shopping sprees. You name it. Ok, maybe not weddings.The uppers were great throughout the life of the boot, even the shoelaces were original.Note for new purchasers, the back of the boot is initially stiff and can be uncomfortable against the back of your ankle. This is especially true when driving my sports car and my toe is extended for long periods. Like all good boots, they need some breakin time. After that, they're just great and I've worn them on multiple 18+hour days with zero complaints.So... now you know why I bought them again!

Danner = WIN
As always, Danner makes an awesome product. I discovered years ago that the Danner 13 2E size fits me perfectly. I own 3 pairs of Danner boots and all of them are basically perfect. I bought these to replace my aging hiking boots and again, I regret not buying the Danner's to begin with. These are great trail boots through and through. I live in Northern California next to many large rivers and we do a lot of canyon crawls to get to places where we can prospect for gold. First time I wore these out, we went 5 miles up stream on the American River, worked for 7 hours and then hiked back to the truck and these boots were on my feet the whole time. Paired with the right socks, these are perfect all day outdoor boots. If you are in the market for a new pair of boots, Danner is my recommendation. There are a lot of high quality boots out there, but now that Danner has worked for me perfectly 3 times in a row - I think I have found where my money is going for every other pair of boots I need... Amazon has great pricing on these, so if you have a work-wear store near you, maybe stop by and try on a few pairs to see what size works best for you before you throw down the ol' credit card...

Excellent hiking boot.
My husband bought a pair many years ago 10+ years ago and just recently was ready for a replacement and let me tell you …these last. If you are not purchasing as replacement and unsure of your size hiking boots it can be difficult to buy without trying them on and doing a downhill toe test. Easy return if needed. Many many hikes later they are still like new with great support.
