I was looking for a special kind of thinker ink for the purpose of calligraphy practice using the rice paper. This item is the one a friend recommended and was now proofed to be exactly what I was looking for. The ink liquid appeared a little thinker than other products that I have purchased from Amazon earlier. The appearance of the ink is like shining black looked quite good as well. The ink comes in a cardboard box and sealed well with a side knob to allow small amount of ink dripped out for daily use. The ink also has a special fragrance smell to help the Sumi writing as of a pleasant practice. Shipping was only a couple of days. Overall I like this item and will purchase again from this seller. The brandname Yi-De-Ge is a traditional reputed product in the calligraphy ink manufacturing industry.

Love Easyou and love this top quality ink. Have purchased it over and over. I honestly don’t want to work with any other brand. Holds on to the paper and dries quickly. Sometimes on certain papers it is a bit thick, but I just add a few drops of water. You will be very happy with this product.

Excellent ink for Chinese Calligraphy! The best I’ve encountered. It Writes very smooth and does not smear. Love it! Will stick to this brand from now on. One thing though: I do mix it with the ink stick grinding on a good ink stone. This vendor also carries good quality ink stone (Duan Yan) and it is what I use. My teacher says that the combo of this ink with ink stone grinding will not cause smearing during mounting process. Enjoy calligraphy! It’s such a therapeutic art.

I have many years of experiences with several brand of Sumi inks. Ink of this brand is known to be overly sticky, but not this line. This is ready to use as the ink is pour from bottle to inkstone, no water needing to be added. The ink comes with pleasant, light herbal aroma, but not offensive odor whatsoever. The price is friendly. And the package is well sealed.

Very good ink, better than most of brands I have tried, and better smell than other inks I used. Usually I only use inksticks to grind my own ink, this gives you a good substitute when you don’t have time to grind. The ink is a little thick, it would be a good idea to add some water and slightly grind to mix well.

Love it. Runs like water but thick with pigment, if that makes sense. Little goes long way and I add water sometimes and it’s still « solid ». Use for my mixed media art. About to order 3rd bottle.

The price is a little more than some of the other bottled ink but the quality makes up for it. I use the ink only for pieces I am going to mount. I do not use it for practicing kanji. I use the less expensive ink to practice with.

Ink has a pleasant sooty, flowery smell that I found relaxing while I worked at my Chinese calligraphy and painting. Ink is perfectly opaque and has just a very slight gloss to it on xuan paper. Will purchase again.

The colour is classic black, just as this brand should be. As a unauthentic amazon product it's beyond my expectation. Recommended if you are looking for good ink.

What a beautiful bottle! The ink smells really nice and gentle! It holds my brush neatly. I love it! It makes me more focus on writing. Actually, I feel I write better with this ink.

This took a while to arrive but it was a great price, I bought it to try chinese kanji character writing for the first time so I wasn't sure what to shop for. I haven't had a chance to actually use it because it smells so bad, but because it was inexpensive I'm not going to bother returning it. i might try it in resin? Not sure
