I should have taken note of reviews that gave poor performance level to this product. I brought two trying to cut down on replacement batteries. The product just does not work. You have to touch it trigger the sensor, therefore cats are walking around in my yard with scant regard for the chaser.The high pitch ultrasound frequency is non existent that only came on when I assembled the product the first time.To prove that I know what to expect from the chaser, I must let you know I am the owner of a Chaser Pro battery operated.

I have been using it okay since it arrived. Keeps battery charge so there is no lag time. Some things I noticed. I had a different brand that required battery changes periodically in the front yard. It seemed to work to keep the cats away. Depending on the frequency I adjusted it to I could hear it. The P3 however, I never did hear it, but that could be because it is out of my hearing range. When switched to the strobe light mode the lights always strobed even when nothing was in front of it. I am not sure if that is correct. A few days ago I decided to switch it to the sound mode only to see if I could hear it. No. So when I switch it back to strobe mode they do not work now. I cannot tell if it works at all. Gonna chuck it and try something else. I do like the solar charging aspect.

Several units have gotten condensate inside the motion detector lens and want to flash all the time. The amount of cat scat has decreased by 90%.

We waited over a month to see if this would work to give the product time to charge and allowing for various weather conditions. Unfortunately, we still have neighbors' dogs, goats and coyotes coming on the property. We do have high winds and if this is the reason for the frequency to be unheard by them, then it should be mention on the product details imho. Now we cannot return it as it as been over a month. Big expense wasted. We had bought four :(
