Finally, a foraging toy my Eclectus hasn't destroyed in a matter of hours.
I'm a first time parrot owner and definitely not an expert on the subject, but one thing every website says about keeping a parrot happy and healthy is having some sort of device that stimulates their foraging instincts. I've tried several foraging toys in the past, but my Eclectus parrot has chewed through them to get to the goodies inside and within hours they were a dismantled mess laying on the floor of her cage. This toy is simply a PVC elbow with a few colorful plastic beads on a sturdy chain that hangs from the top of the cage. I place it slightly out of reach of a perch in the cage so my parrot has to reach for it, and the way it's designed it spins around when poked, so my parrot has to figure out a way to keep it from spinning while trying to get the goodies inside. One side is open, and the other side has a plastic cover so after the easy pickins from the open side are gone she has to figure out how to hold open the plastic cover and keep it from spinning around to get the rest of the goodies from the other side. I put dried fruit, almonds and sunflower seeds in it (never her regular food or fresh fruit) and she'll spend hours figuring out how to hold the cover open, keep it from spinning around and hanging on a perch to get to the treats. She's smart, so I move it around the cage once in a while to stimulate her into coming up with a new strategy to get the goodies inside.

Hummmmm
After several days of avoiding the nearby perch and just glaring at the toy, African Grey started picking at it. Not sure if he ever was able to hold the cover long enought to get the treats. It has certainly kept his interest. He has circled it and looked at it from all angles. Greys are so smart so we know that he will figure it out and it will soon be in pieces at the bottom of the cage lol.

Not very challenging
This is a sturdy, colorful foraging toy, except that it is too easy for any intelligent parrots. the treats are removed within seconds and with ease.

Perfect
The media could not be loaded. I love this product because it’s just the right height that my bird won’t sexually abuse the feeder. Well least I haven’t caught her yet.Excuse the mess she’s a lazy forager and dumps all of the seeds from her new foraging feeder that she isn’t used to. I was trying to keep her from being bored and less likely to bite.

Nicely made
Nicely made - no sharp edges to cut your birds. Easy to hand wash. My birds liked this, I put their pellets inside and the end “circle” pieces kept falling back in place closing the opening…so it posed a challenge for them!

Not for Cockatoos
This is made well but not for a cockatoo beak.

Will hold enough small treats to keep birdy busy for a while, can be dishwashered to clean
Gray parrot approved. Usually has assorted nuts in it, so he does't eat them all at the same time as he will go through one type, then leave it and later come back for a different flavor treat.
