It is a double-acting cylinder with two hydraulic ports for both extension and retraction of the rod. The ports are Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) size 8. It has clevis mounts on both ends with Unified Fine Thread (UNF) threading. It has a high strength tie-rod for large loads, and the piston, butt, gland, and clevis are made of ductile iron for strength and durability. It has RoyalPlate Plus surface plating for resistance to corrosion. BOUGHT THIS CYLINDER FOR LOG SPLITTER STRIPPED THE 1 1/2 " THREADS OFF THE FIRST TIME
BOUGHT FOR LOG SPLITTER SPENT ALMOST $500.00 THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A DESCENT PRODUCT BECAUSE THEY SAID IT WAS MADE IN AMERICA. I HAVE A 6.5 HP MOTOR ON IT AND IT COMPRESSED AND CUT A 4X6 ALMOST IN HALF BEFORE STRIPPING THE THREADS OFF. TOTAL PEICE OF GARBAGE NOW HAVE TO WELD IT SOLID SO I CAN NOT REBUILD IF IT NEEDS TO. TRY TO BUY SOMETHING ELSE THAT MAY BE BUILT BETTER TOTAL GARBAGE GREG
