These allowed me to do a small project I have been meaning to do for years. I wanted a shower head rod attached to my wall or ceiling (just to hold the head, not to have water flowing through it). These are made of cast iron. The size I purchased were for 1/2" pipe. The threads were nice and clean and I had now problem screwing in my stainless pipe. Being cast iron, they would be brittle and prone to breaking if exerting the wrong pressure, however these are strong and functioned perfectly for my use. There is about 1/2" of threads before you would bottom out your pipe. These would be great for multiple projects.

In the past, I’ve bought some from EBay where the threads were too loose and the pipes didn’t tighten. On these the pipes tightened without poking out the other end.
