Small case, big results
Be aware that even though this set said 3/8" it would not work in my 3/8" drill, I had to use my 1/2" drill. However, I believe this is more the fault of my old 3/8" keyless drill chuck than the hole saw kit in this review so I am not taking any stars away since I have had the problem with other hole saw mandrils. It gets the job done, quality construction, made in the U.S.A. I have so far used the set for 20+ cuts in wood and metal and the kit is holding up terrific. My biggest pet peeve is little tools that come in big boxes. I have another hole saw set that will go unmentioned - same size hole saws, case is about twice as large. I have no idea why any manufacturer would do this. This MK Morse set comes in a small box. I look at my old hole saw kit and shake my head in bewilderment at why it is so big with so much wasted, unusable space inside. This kit is a pleasure to store and to take to jobs/projects.

Threaded Arbor will bind and become very difficult to remove from the threaded hole saw
The hole saws are sharp enough for my minor wood drilling projects. However, after the first time I used the 1.5" hole saw in 1/2" plywood it was nearly impossible to remove the hole saw from the arbor. The threaded mandrel was solidly bound to the hole saw like two jam-nuts. Finally I put the larger rounded section of the arbor in a vise and inserted a screw driver into a slot in the hole saw. I cautiously applied torque to the screwdriver-in-slot and the hole saw finally released from the arbor. This method would eventually lead to arbor damage or distort the hole saw . Therefore I placed a thin (~1/32") rubber washer onto the threaded section of the arbor before re-attaching the 1.5" hole saw. After modest use, the hole saw released from the arbor. In combination with the rubber gasket I now use an 11/32" deep-socket (TEKTON 1215 1/4" Drive Deep Socket Set, 3/16"-7/16") to hold the hexagonal shank of the arbor. I then insert a screw driver into the hole saw slots. This combination of socket and screw driver allows me to safely separate the hole saw and arbor.Searching the web I found that another good solution is to wrap copper wire (or perhaps a copper washer) at the base of the threaded section of the arbor instead of my rubber washer. For $30+ Morse should at least add a gasket or washer to this kit for preventing arbor and hole saw binding. One final comment, the pilot drill separated from the arbor on my first use in thin plywood. It appears the set screw holding the pilot drill was not properly tightened at the factory.

Electrician
I do mostly residential and more than happy with the set, especially for the price. All the sizes are perfect for my work. I use hole saws about once a month, that is not very much. If I used them much more often I might be complaining about their quality, but as it stands, they work great for me. It has exactly every size I need for electrical size holes for connectors all in a small box. Perfect for wood, so so for metal. But for metal I use the carbide hole kit, and punch sets. Tired of burning up uni-bits

Good cutters at a good price.
A good price and a good product. The only option beyond trial and error in buying hole saws that do the job is to rely on the known maker names of professional grade tools. For this purchase I have used Morse cutting tools for years and consider them well made and reliable across the board so when seeking a set of these I saw the Morse name, I saw a good price, and I received a good product.

Nice basic hole saw set
I needed a 3/4" hole saw + arbor and so I thought for a little more money I'd buy a small hole saw kit. This was exactly what I was looking for. 6 basic hole saw sizes that are bi-metal so I can cut through a variety of materials. The arbors are quality and have a hex shaped drive end instead of round so it can't slip in your drill chuck.

Extremely satisfied
I purchased a door (metal) for my garage and with this blade set installed the locks (dead bolt & locking door knob). I'm a do-it yourselfer when possible and from now on if I need a quality hole saw set,I'll have it on hand. Quality made & handled the job so fast & easy. I also realize the money I saved by doing it myself more than payed for this set! And I'm one that loves having the right tools on hand when needed. Extremely satisfied & would reccomend these to a Do-It-Yourselfer or Pro for that matter!

Good quality for the price
These hole saws work really well. I had purchased multiple different sets before starting a project and most of the others dulled quickly, yet this set held up strong. The pilot bit secures well and I did not have difficulty keeping it secure like I have with other sets. For the price you can't beat the quality of these hole saws.

Why buy cheap ones when Amazon gets you the right price
Date:4-11-13Should have reviewed this years ago but today is good also. I did own a Hanson set which was OK but it broke too soon and I found this for a good price on Amazon. It is well made to qualify for shop support tool , not production though. But for home use it is more than one could ask for and makes me feel secure.
