328 Feet Twisted Nylon Line Twine String Cord for Gardening Marking DIY Projects Crafting Masonry (Red, 1.5mm-328 feet)

As the headline states, there is no practical use for this twine. As opposed to the advertised size (1.5 mm), it is nominally .75 to 1 mm which, if it would hold a knot, would get the job done. Unfortunately, no knot that I tried would hold, but would only slip out and would drop my workpiece to the floor. I have used various synthetics on our boat;, nylon, dacron etc., all of which would hold an anchor rode, bosun's chair or whatever else was needed. I only wanted this twine to hold pieces of tubing for a wind chime I am making. I tried a square knot and a bowline knot, both without success. I even tried heat to melt the knot together but the twine is too small and would burn through. There you have it. It looks like it might work, but it has no practical application. At the price, it must be said that the postage to return it makes it only worth my while to chuck it in the dustbin.

I honestly couldn't tell you how accurate the measurement on the thickness is, but it's pretty thin. It's extremely strong, made very well, is flawless throughout the whole spool. I used two and a half white spools during a crochet project, and will be using another couple in the grey. It's very easy to use, supple but strong. I will be using more of it in the future.

I gave the product a chance even after reading several reviews that said it was undersize. Sometimes a company makes a mistake and gets new product into the pipeline. Sometimes reviewers don't have calipers to measure things. So the truth is that the manufacturer is still labeling sub-1 mm string as 1.5 mm and the Amazon customers were right. Measuring on the roll across 13 windings of string (there a little space between some of them) is about 13.5 mm, meaning individual strings are between 0.9 and 1.0 mm. Its going back.

Overall the product did what I wanted (to make kids bead necklaces). Note that the cord was actually 3 long cords tied together in a knot to make one long one. This could be a real problem for someone since the strength at the knot was considerably reduced.

The package was labeled 1.5mm but, it is only 1mm. This is a very simple measurement. The string is much thinner than I expected.

I needed twine to restring a wind chime. This product fit the bill.

I ordered brown but it is red. Still a good product and nice color so I decided to keep it even tho it was the wrong color

Product is as appears in the picture, but the scale is deceptive - I was expecting thicker string, but the reel is only about 6 inches tall and the string is quite thin, not much thicker than sewing cotton - I was surprised by how small the package was when it was delivered (I know the thickness was given in the product description but this was not obvious). I wanted to use it to mark out some football pitches prior to painting lines, but it was hardly visible and it also stretched quite easily so it was not really any use for what I wanted.

This line is about the same thickness as cotton on a reel but is very strong. Quite tricky to work with because so thin and unravels when cut.

The product was delivered promptly and did exactly what I expected and needed it for.
