Craig David is the "Booty Man" !
I love this CD. I first heard Craig last summer when I listened to "Fill Me In". The video to this song was a bit too "young" for me so I kind of put Craig David aside for the moment. Over the Thanksgiving/Christmas holiday the radio stations were playing the remix of 7 days and then I was hooked. When I bought "Born To Do It" I thought too many songs were about having sex but then again - I said to myself - what else are young men his age thinking about. So I gave it another chance and I must say that Craig David is ALL THAT!Being a House Music lover, I HAD to push repeat constantly on my CD player from the first moment I heard "Can't Be Messing 'Round". I must admit that it has been a while since a singer/performer has hit me hard like this - not since Prince (and Kenny Lattimore) have I been so excited and especially about any one CD. This CD is a MUST have.I wish Craig David nothing but MUCH success over here in the states and continued success in his home country. If his future work is as tight as "Born To Do It", he will last for quite sometime! This CD is a MUST buy for folks who like to party, bounce, and groove. Even the slower tempo cuts (Once In A Lifetime, Follow Me, Walking Away) make your head bob.I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this CD!Craig you are INDEED the "Booty Man" !

Sound Off - UK Import - Craig David
It has been awhile since I've been so excited about a new artist. With a combination of R&B and UK Garage, Craig David has come up with a fantastic album that should appeal to a broad spectrum of listeners stateside. Although some may claim his music to be formulaic and banal, I found the tracks on his "Born To Do It" CD refreshing and toe-tappingly catchy. Having first caught this British artist on travel in Asia on MTV, it is a wonder how his presence in the U.S. has not been felt just yet. I expect his recent U.S. (May 2001) release of his single, "Fill Me In" to be a great introductory debut. As for the rest of the album, I highly encourage you to go out and listen to what songs you may find available to you.A few choice tracks besides "Fill Me In" that have been enormously popular outside the U.S. are "Rendezvous, Seven Days, & Walking Away."I do not expect everyone to agree with my taste or assessment of this artist but I respectfully look forward to reading any comments others may have on this thread.- Cerulean

What you don't know
Craig David is somewhat new to the American Scene. With Songs like "Fill me In" And "7 Days" Just now hitting the U.S. I have had the priveledge (and torture) of being in Germany on a 4 year tour in the military. While this isn't all that great in itself, the good thing is...Craig David has been out over there for about a year and a half or two. While people are just getting these songs. I have his CD and Plenty of Maxi Singles,Videos, and Remixes to keep me content till he comes out full blown over here. Now what you may not know is that everything this guy touches seems to be a masterpiece. I would say go and buy every craig david item that you can. He is gonna be big..He was in the UK and will be here. Anything he does will be well worth getting. By the way, when you get this, envy me...because I have been Jamming to Craig for a year now :O) Well just a heads up poeple. Don't Get caught sleeping. Craig David will be a big timer in this business. So Now you know...

Like fresh water on hot skin. Cooling. Go get it NOW!
I happened to be in Germany last year for work. As a foreigner, Craig David was the best thing that ever happened to me over there. His music, videos etc were everywhere in Europe. I was in Belgium when I first heard about this talented artist. HMV had his picture all over the place. They were having a special promotion with him. This guy is BIG. When I came back to America, I was surprised nobody knew about him around here. I almost had tears in my eyes when I first heard him on American (not yet on pop radio, but R&B and soul radios) a couple of weeks ago. Anyway, this year is probably going to be HIS year on this side of the Atlantic. I wish him long success. He will make it here just as well as he did in Europe. Can't wait for the next album to come. Get yourself a copy quick, quick, quick.

Smooth Groove!
Wow! I had never heard of Craig, but I caught the video for the song "7 days" on VH1 Soul. This is the Jam! I love the song. Then I saw the video for the song "Fill Me In" and I Can only imagine the rest of the CD is tight. He has a very smooth voice and the beats are tight as well. I'm ordering the CD in the next couple of minutes. I must have it!

Ready for some new stuff?
Craig David is new on the scene to Americans, but I expect with his tight beats and smooth singing, this guy will get attention. With all of the R&B on the radio right now, it all seems so recylcled and old compared to this new sound brought to us from a freshman to the scene(who has already been noticed in the U.K.). This album is hot, the 2 songs that caught me were 7 DAYS and FILL ME IN, I still can't get enough of them. The rest of the album is down too, you'll be stuck to it...trust me.
