Should be a part of your rack
Great item! I participated in a rappelling clinic and the hollowblock went through a lot of abuse as it was used by several people for multiple rappels. It showed little signs of use by the end of the clinic.

Love that it works on multiple rope diameters
Great piece of gear for a personal swiftwater rescue kit, as it works on different diameters of rope (including smaller throwbag rope diameters). Also packs down smaller than a round prusik, so it's easier to cram into a PFD pocket.

Perfect for raps
Used beneath my atc to catch the rope if I let go during rappels. 13” size works great with two wraps around a double rope then clipped to harness and atc on short extension sling

Awesome Product
I use this as a backup to my descender while saddle hunting. Its everything you would need. Amazing strong with great hold and easy to work into a prusik

Great Backup for Rappel, Good for Ascending Too
I have used this product both as a backup for rappelling and as a prusik for ascending. It grips well under load and slides well when it is kept unloaded. Sterling's claims regarding this loop's resistance to heat stress seem to be true. Whether it heats the rope it is attached to less than other cords I can't say definitively. I would recommend this product for anyone who wants a slightly longer loop than the 12" HollowBlock. It is great as a backup for descending and also works for ascending a rope if necessary, though I will not be using it regularly for ascent, since that is not its primary design purpose and since it would put unnecessary wear/strain on something that I may depend upon to keep me on a rope.

Saddle hunting
Will be using as a backup prussic knot to the mammut smart 2.0 for saddle hunting. It is as advertised and works perfectly. Very high quality sewn loop.
