Since there's not a lot of reviews at the moment, I uploaded some pictures because I want people to see that it's a really good looking product. I was expecting some minor blemishes or imperfections but it's actually quite perfect. It also fits perfectly in an 8 cup Chemex. The silicone ring is nice and prevents any possibility of scratching the glass, and keeps it snugly in place. The filter is easy enough to clean, and hasn't shown any signs of clogging. The mesh filter combined with the laser drilled filter seems like a good combination. The mesh is much finer than other metal filters I've used and I don't get noticeable amounts of silt with a medium grind, and the outer laser-drilled filter provides a rigid structure to keep the mesh from flexing. From what I can tell, this product has been on Amazon for over two years, so I'm not sure why there's under 35 reviews at the moment for a filter that seems to work so well. I've only had this a couple days, but I update my reviews if my experience changes. So far I'm very impressed, as this filter is less than half the price of other comparable models from other brands. I've never heard of Blue Brew before, but I'll keep them in mind for my future coffee product purchases. This filter screams quality.

Absolutely love it! Nice and thick, proper hole in the bottom. Handle is properly thick too. Easy to clean and the pattern stays bright. Definitely worth it! I use it every day!

I use this to filter coffee that I've cold brewed over night. In this case, filtering using a paper filter would require multiple one, or you would have to filter in many stages. As people have mentioned, this metal filter lets the coffee drip thru fast, which may not work great for pour over coffee, as it ends up weak. This fast pour works great though, for coffee that has already brewed for 12 hours or so. Another aspect of a paper filter is that it will absorb the possibly bitter oils released by a hot brew method, but again, this does not happen with cold brewing.

I came across this new coffee dripper and fell in love with it immediately after the first use. I have been using coffee drippers for so long that I have gone through several Hario drippers, big and small. Hario is pretty much the benchmark for ceramic coffee drippers. So my review will focus on the comparison between Blue Brew and Hario brands. I actually purchased both 2-cup and 4-cup drippers and compared them with the Hario drippers I already had. The observation was pretty much the same. 1. Material: I believe both are porcelain. But Blue Brew looks a few shades brighter. (See Photo). It’s almost as white as a bone china cup I was using. (Another Photo) If you are into pottery, you’d guess the Blue Brew was made of better quality kaolin clay. The Blue Brew also was a little thicker than the Hario, as I measured at the rim. That made me feel the Blue Brew was heavier and sturdier in hand. But actually they both weighed about the same. 2. Easy to use: Both brands actually are very similar in size, shape, and weight. Both look very solid and easy to use. I would say it’s a tie! 3. Heat Retention: In theory, the thicker dripper is preferable because it retains the heat just like a good thick espresso cup. The Blue Brew dripper appears to be a bit thicker. However, the difference in practical use remains to be seen. 4. Design: The beautiful cornflower design pattern and the circular color rings make the Blue Brew coffee dripper stand out. The pastel blue series is just poetic to me. Or you can call it a piece of art! 5. Price: At the time of my purchase with Amazon Prime, Hario cost almost twice as much as the Blue Brew counter parts. 6. Package: The Blue Brew drippers came in beautiful, you guess what, BLUE gift boxes. I would not go as far as saying they were Tiffany boxes, but very close. I have planed to purchase a few more Blue Brew Ceramic Coffee Drippers as holiday gifts. I am sure all I family and friends will love it.

This thing is BEAUTIFUL, bigger than I expected but the perfect size for a cup of coffee or a few. Works perfect with the cone size recommended, amazing flow rate and delicious coffee. BEYOND satisfied with this purchase, ESPECIALLY at the price. Will definitely be buying as gifts in the future. BUY THIS NOW!!!!

Top opening is not 4.7 inches, it is the same as the base 4 inches. Both top and base need to be bigger as least 5 inches for bigger cups.

Great quality, produces an amazing cup of coffee on par with the Chemex paper filters. Hard to find Chemex paper filters right now during lock down, so I tried this out. Easy to clean and has not clogged at all after 2 months of making 2x-3x pots of coffee a day. I think it's good to clean this after every use and do not let it sit there with the grounds in it. I will rinse it with hot water thoroughly and use again, then after the last pot of coffee; wash with soap. The construction is clearly solid and the rubber ring is also high quality, and pretty easy to remove and clean. With proper maintenance, I think this will last for many years. Very happy with this purchase and I would recommend this filter to fellow pour over coffee addicts.
