This is a fabulous & easy to use tracing aid; fantastic for helping the kids to trace over & learn to write letters & words for example. It’s really light in weight & can be placed either directly on your lap, or on the table whilst you trace/draw. It is so simple to use, with just one power-on button (though it has 3 different brightness settings). This device is only a light-source (a flat torch I suppose), used for tracing (like old-fashioned style tracing) your desired pictures/photos/images etc. You just place the ‘original’ image that you want to trace (face-up) directly on-top of this light tablet, then place a blank piece of paper (or fabric…) directly on-top of the original image/picture/photo etc. Because the light from this light tablet shines up through BOTH the ‘original’ image & the blank paper/fabric upon which you are tracing, you will be able to see the ‘original’ image/picture much more clearly & so be able to draw (trace) really easily. This light tablet is like a ‘flat torch’ & it’s only purpose is to shine light up through an ‘original’ image & a piece of blank paper/fabric upon which you want to trace, thus making it much easier to see & draw! The flat ‘torch-like’ light source makes the blank paper/fabric & ‘original’ picture/image kind of see-through if you get what I mean. It doesn’t do anything else at all, other than enable you to trace images more readily. The USB cable is ONLY the power source for this light tablet; to power it…you connect it to a device such as a laptop or a computer using the USB cable. However, this connection does NOT allow the light tablet to ‘communicate’ with other devices or the internet. So, you CANNOT upload/download/send/receive/save images to or from other devices or via the internet using this light tablet; it is just a light source, nothing more nothing less.

brilliant light up board , 3 different brightness levels, and nice and slim. my only issue is it has to stay charging when using as it won’t turn on without the lead in. hence 4 stars

Brilliant, great value and great item

Very happy with my purchase as it is ideal for what I wanted which was to provide a backlight for displaying a piece of antique paper with a watermark that has a personal interest. Buyers should be aware however that this item is a bit fussy about it's power supply. When plugged in to a laptop or PC USB point it is quite happy and works as advertised, however, it does not like some USB power supplies. I'm not entirely sure why but it works with some sources and not with others, possibly an issue with the configuration of the pins in the power source, as it is not dependent upon the amperage rating of the output used.

Got this for my little girl as she loves her art and crafts and only but recently got into tracing. Mostly her own pictures (just to colour in again), but secondary for tracing foreign language letters she is trying to learn. I could see she was struggling a bit so picked one of these up. I’ve actually wanted one for a while too as have tons of old photo negatives to archive through and this will be perfect for the job! It looks fantastic, very simple to use and lightweight. Single button operation, so once turned on, you can tap the power button further to cycle through a few light brightness/intensity levels. A4 is a brilliant size and peaks both our usage needs and compact enough to both not to take up much space/carry about with ease. My only real negative is that it does not have any internal battery/ability to power without being plugged in. This is kind of easily overcome as majority of work is on the desk so we have a fixed power point, but as It uses a standard micro usb cable, have been able to easily power it via a usb power bank with no issues. I do really like it, proper just does the job. If I could add any criticism, it would probably be that it would have been nice if it came with a sleeve/baggy of sort. I ended up getting a iPad pro size sleeve for it (literally the cheapest one I could find and was snail mail from china…few quid)

Badly scratched under screen protector. Doesn't effect its function but it doesn't look nice. Box looked as if it had been sat on. Three brightness settings. Dim to very bright. Solid construction. Very bright setting. Niece very happy regardless.
