Well made.
Have only had it installed for a few weeks and it is very well made. My only complaint is the instructions - if they where improved I'd give this a five star rating. In one point in the instructions it talks about putting nails through a pre-drilled hole there wasn't any pre-drilled hole. They include paint - which is nice and not referenced in the instructions. I assume tHis is to cover the nail holes, but it would have been nice to have included a cheap brush. They reference needing caulk to seal around the top of the lower section. I think this makes sense. However, you are caulking a total of 20 linear inches. Pretty wasteful to buy a tube if caulk just for this. Including a few ounces of caulk would probably be more useful than the paint to cover the nails. Especially since no one would see the nails if you were more than 5feet away yet not caulking could lead to rot down the road.Would also have been useful to have the manufacturer ore drill at Easton of the screw holes for the cross brace. Trying to hold everything together, balance a level and drill in the screws is difficult. Predrilled holes would have allowed me to install the cross brace without an added set of hands.

While the post looks great and did not have problems installing
While the post looks great and did not have problems installing, had concerns with the quality:- the wood is not pressure treated and is very soft / subject to flaking and splintering- the paint job was very poor (and thinly coated) so needed to repaint all of the parts- the mortise and tenon looked to have been hand chiseled and was a very poor fit (a lot of play)While it looks great, I am concerned as to whether this post will last given the quality of the wood. Time will tell.

Walpole
This is a Walpole mail post. We had the 1st one for over 15 years. It only broke because I hit it with the camper. My husband is very handy and it took him a 1/2 to assemble and set in place (6 inches back this time)

Very nice quality
Very nice look and good quality. Will require assembly and for an average homeowner this could minimum 2 hours plus depending on your level of detail. By the time you assemble, stain/paint, add mailbox, dig and prepare 3 ft deep hole, level and backfill, your are looking at least 4 hours. When finished, you are looking at a very nice and sturdy mailbox post.

Appealing Mailbox Post
A very appealing mailbox post. Much nicer than the plastic posts on the market. Came with nails, caulk, glue and stain. I thought the glue was too thin for final assembly so I used construction adhesive. I also used my own stainless steel screws instead of the finishing nails provided but that's just me. I found using a framing square to be helpful in aligning the mailbox shelf and brace. The post came pre-stained and extra stain for scuffs however I chose to paint mine thinking it will add to the post's longevity.
