Amazon Basics AB-BF606-OR Basin Faucet-4-Inch, Oil-Rubbed Bronze

This replaces a more expensive unit that simply corroded only after a few years, so spending a lot of money on a faucet leaves me bitter. The old faucet was functionally fine, but looked terrible. So I gave this a shot, thinking it couldn't be worse.My wife and I are happy with how this faucet looks and feels. The Amazon logo is very small and you would really need to be looking to see. I echo others frustrations that the hardest part can be removing the old faucet. That was my case, but moving on.The handles don't take much pressure to turn off and on. It may be on the light side for some. My last unit had one handle that required too much pressure to move imo, and it bothered me. The other handle had good feel. This is a nice change, but maybe a swing too far. Time will tell.I have an alert for those new DIY'ers. After my installation, I had a small leak coming from the drain portion. I knew it wasn't under-tight, but reading online, the answers were under tightened, too tight, bound rubber gasket, hair line crack, etc. I called my neighbor that is a plumber, reluctantly because I wanted this to be something I did myself. He took a look and said it was leaking through the threads. He took the drain apart and applied pipe dope liberally to the threads. He also applied it to the ball that is used for raising and lowering the stopper. So far, all is good. This is not a problem with this unit, just something I should have done, but I'm a newbie and the Youtube videos I watched didn't mention it.I'll report more if I have anything break.

We had purchased one of these last year and absolutely love it so I ordered two more for our master bathroom. While we purchased these in January, surgery and COVID got in the way and I just installed one last weekend. The water tasted terrible! I removed the aerator to discover it was rusted. I pulled the other one that was still in box and it was rusted too. Yes I am 9 months late in installation but I shouldn’t have rusted parts right out of the box—they were stored below the sink faucets they replace.The design of the faucet itself is awesome. The neck swivels making it easier to fill bottles.One other recommendation: the lift rod strap (the part that connects the rod you move up and down to open/close the sink stopper) is made of plastic. If your old sink has a metal one, I recommend you reuse it—it works better and is easier to connect.

Pros : great price, easy to install, very prettyCon : the words "Amazon Basics" are etched into the metal on the base. There's no way to remove it. The good news is its not super noticeable unless you get at eye level with it

It's not durable. The drain broke a year later. Flimsy.

This faucet is much nicer and heavier than I expected it to be, especially for the price. I bought it for a flip house but I might order another one for myself.

This was a very nice unit but unfortunately, it didn't work with the set up we had in the bathroom. Our holes for the handles were drilled too far apart and the unit wouldn't fit properly. This was no fault of the unit, just us not measuring correctly. Very solid and smooth functioning though and great finish. Wish it would have worked.

Faucet has a swivle head which we like. The drain is plastic and won't stop leaking. I replaced with a brass drain....all fixed but it cost more money!

Love the look of the faucet, the price was the selling point. We’ve had a small issue with the drain seal, other than that- easy to install

very elegant look, I bought it to replace a leaky faucet. I am a mother of three toddlers and I was able to replace this myself with my kids outside (yes I was a bit crazy). instructions worked well looks beautiful and great value for the price so far no issues. will update how well it holds
