Product was easy to put on and looks great!
This hydro-shield was extremely easy to put on and fits snug around the filter. I live in Southern Utah, so I don't have to worry about the rain or water, but it is nice to have that extra piece of mind, just in case I decide to drive through large puddles on those rare rainy days. Also it is supposed to help keep the filter clean for a longer time so I shouldn't have to clean it as often. Also didn't notice any reduction in performance so it isn't suffocating my intake at all. I highly recommend this product!

Cheap and effective, looks nice.
This is my 2nd Hydroshield for my Injen IS1200P shortram intake. There’s no air box in my WRX, so water does find its way to the intake unfortunately. This little gem does a great job of keeping the occasional water out and not fouling my MAF. The 1st one simply lost its hydrophobic properties after a few years.

Great prefilter
Fits nice and snug on my injen CAI. This replaced one that was installed for maybe 3 years. Provides good hydrophobic barrier for your filter. My intake sits very low and I have driven through very heavy rains with no issue.

Protects my cold air intake!
The previous owner of my Tiburon had a cold air intake installed and with the carbon fiber hood vents left it open to incoming water. After the first time washing my car and it not wanting to start I knew I had to do something to keep water from getting in. This has worked great, I've had no problems since installing it with water getting into my cold air intake and making my car stall. I've had no reduced performance either.

Fits a DC CAI
Works great, I have a DC CAI, fit perfect, I did buy a water proof spray for additional protection, but seems to do the job.

Works better than the cheaper "Water Guard"
This was my second cold air intake cover ordered, since I live in washington some sort of pertection is a must have, so first i tried the cheaper water guard which did very poorly against my sink which was returned immidaetly. But this injen passes the sink test before being put on my car, it fits pritty snug but theirs no chance of it falling off. I feel better now that i know that my car isnt sucking up a ton of water everytime i drive through a puddle. Would recomend. But remember this isnt a "make your intake water proof" cover it just repells the water off of it.

It's great... for a year or two
I've had this installed over an AEM dryflow filter for about 2 years now. When it was new, it had amazing waterproofing, I could run it under the sink and my hand wouldn't get wet at all. When I cleaned my filter recently, I tested the waterproofing once again. It now has zero waterproofing and a couple small holes in the material for no apparent reason. I re-installed it just because I figured it could still act as a pre-filter to keep the filter cleaner. All was well until I drove through an intense thunderstorm and water from the road was splashed up on to the filter. The car started to buck and died a couple miles later. Thankfully, I was able to get it restarted and make it home. Not surprisingly, the car had thrown every MAF code in the book as a result of getting wet. When handling this when it was new, it was pretty clear that the waterproofing was a result of some chemical waterproofing film applied to the outside. I'm going to see if I can re-waterproof it with a can of Scotchgard. It is, after all, advertised as a breathable waterproofing solution. I'll report back if it works. Update: I successfully re-waterproofed my hydroshield using 3M Scotchgard waterproofing spray purchased in the camping section at Walmart for less than $5. As long as it doesn't tear any further, I should be able to continue using the hydroshield for a long time.

Buy it!
Too bad my air filter is located within the bumper cover, cause this thing looks great! Feels high quality and does a good job at limiting water penetration. Definitely a good idea if you're air filter is located anywhere that water may be introduced to the intake.

I swapped to a dry filter after my MAF was fried by overindulgent oiling of the previous filter. A pre-filter seemed in order, as well, (based on the amount of crud on the previous filter). Got an AEM 21-2031D as the new air filter, and this fit perfectly.

Fit over my my Skunk2 Cold air intake, my Hybrid Cold air intake and Injen cold air intake. Easy to slip on. Ran a water hose over the material and barely to nothing came into this hydro shield. Love it for the daily cars and especially in Canadian weather. YOU WILL LOSE HORSEPOWER THO IF KEEP THIS ON.

The water resistant material will wear away, but at least you have some added protection while its there. Hasnt been long enough for me yet though. Anyone that goes CAI should use it. Just spend the extra money and reduce the risk of hydrolock.

Just stay home if it's raining hard

Direct-fit replacement part for the X-1013-BR filter on the Injen RD1200P intake on my daughter's 2002 WRX. Best price that I was able to find in my search for this genuine Injen part.
