Writes smoothly I thought it was a rollerball
While it’s a little on the short side, the girth and fit of this pencil in my hand are the best. I can’t speak to durability yet, but this is a very smooth writing pencil that my essential tremor really appreciates.

Yes.
My Girlfriend is a artist and swears by these pencils and as someone who does a lot of DnD I went through packs of pencils till she made me try this gem this is the first and last mechanical pencil I will ever go to she uses the 0.9 for her sketches and this feels really good to write with specially if you have big hands or small hands just feels great!

Very comfortable, great eraser
First off, I am just a fan of writing implements. I enjoy both writing and drawing with a variety of pens and pencils. This one certainly fit the bill so much so that I have ordered each of the lead diameters offered and am on the lookout for the eraser refills. The grip is triangular which both stops it from rolling on your desk if it's tilted and offers a very natural hand gesture for drawing especially. The fact that the twist-up eraser is a real bonus for me is that it is exposed like a traditional pencil. No fiddly eraser cap to hold onto or drop and never find again. The eraser is simply there to use whenever with a flip of the pencil. Great for technical drawing! I don't know what the internal mechanism is, but I haven't experienced any lead breakage. Also, you can manually press the eraser and depress the lead back into the pencil for travel or storage. That was a great feature for me, an old habit from the ancient days of drafting. You can bet I will be enjoying this line with many future refills!

Love these pencils
Love these pencils. I have been using them for years. I reordered not because of malfunction but one was chewed up by a dog the other was lost. So I had no choice but to reorder.

Fattest mechanical pencil
I like my writing utensils to have thick, comfortable grips. The Sakura Sumo is the fattest mechanical pencil I could find. And it's fantastic! Ergonomic grip, weighted toward the bottom for ease of use. I love love love the jumbo eraser. I bought this in blue and black, because I have both sizes of lead here at home. I will probably pick up the white, too.

Very nice grip
As with most mechanical pencils though, it leaves me hungry for more.I would like to see a premium version of this made of metal which has much more weight., perhaps around 25 grams.I would also like to see a Sumo Grip stylus gel pen, one that could use PilotG2 refills, or Uni SXR-7 ballpoint refills.

Fatty
I liked this, but buyers should know this is the fattest mechanical pencil I've seen. So if you don't like beefy mechanical pencils or pens this might not be for you. If you do, it's perfect. Picture is of SumoGrip next to a standard size mechanical pencil.
