What a great invention!
I was looking for a replacement splitter for my Jet 10" tablesaw. The factory one protruded from the rear, preventing me from positioning my outfeed table. I was browsing some woodworker sites and stumbled across the MK splitters. For the price, I figured what do I have to lose? I followed the directions and set this up in about 1/2 an hour. The result is great! I am now a convert! I plan to buy some of their other goodies now too. Definitely worth the price. Just have some 1/2" MDF scrap handy (2 pieces of 4" x 15" are required). Once you have the jig and test piece set up, you can redo as many ZCIs as you care to make! So simple!

Belt AND Suspenders
If you don't already have MicroJig's GRR-RIPPER Advanced 3D Pushblock, you should. It's the first step in truly safe, reliable ripping on a table saw. That's the belt.As good a job as the GRR-RIPPER does, there are times when you can't use it or some other factor makes a cut susceptible to kick-back. That's where the suspenders come in to play. The MJ Splitter keeps the kerf open so that neither the keeper nor the offcut can touch the blade on the back side. In addition, it acts as a variable pressure feather board to keep the work firmly pressed against the rip fence.Installation is straight forward. The instructions look a little intimidating at first, but I recommend you read them all the way through, twice. Then just take it step-by-step and you're done. I thought I was going to have a problem with drilling my older Leecraft phenolic ZCI. Another reviewer recommended drilling only enough to mark the locations and then complete the drilling at the drill press. I checked with MicroJig's excellent customer support and they agreed that this was a good idea. Turns out I didn't need it. The drilling was painless and relatively fast.Because you get to select how much pressure each side of the splitter puts on the keeper and the offcut, I chose the single + for an additional .003" offset on each side. That gave me a little more leeway without bogging down the work.I have to say that since I started using the GRR-RIPPER and this MJ Splitter, I have a much happier relationship with my table saw. While still recognizing that it demands respect, I feel so much more comfortable and safer. I make clean rips without binding or burning. And I haven't cut myself at all. This is a great investment and I couldn't recommend it more highly. Really, get a GRR-Ripper and MJ Splitter and see what a difference it makes. You won't be sorry.

Thin or standard kerf?
Works great but be sure to buy the set for the kerf your blade cuts. There are 2 sets. Thin kerf (orange set) and standard kerf (blue set).

perfect solution for table saws that don't have riving knife
bought the thin kerf for Grizzly 1022 table saw that didn't have a method for using a riving knife. made several zero clearance inserts wit two setup, one with kerf keepers and one for standard splitter. have been making a wine rack for 15 cases and need 276 3/4 x 1 supports and these have been big help. have had several boards with stress in them that pinched on the splitters and stopped the boards from pinching on the blade allowing me to stop the saw and correct the issue before kick back could have occurred.

Helps keep an older saw safe
Nicely designed product. The splitters I received had minor superficial cracks in the plastic surface. I reached out to the manufacturer and they sent out replacements and basically said the superficial cracks probably wont be an issue but we'll send a another set just for peice of mind. Their other products also seem well designed supported by a customer centric company. Its great that there is a company supporting older saw and helping keep woodworkers safe

Much safer and eliminated burn marks on wood. Definitely worth the money.
Installed on a Powermatic 66 tablesaw every cut is cleaner and the saw is safer. My shop mate and I both wish we would have made this upgrade sooner. If your saw doesnt have a riving knife of splitter, just order it.

Works great
A surprising upgrade for my Craftsman 113.*** table saw. I never had a riving knife and installing this item was a new experience for me. Having the wood stay that much tighter to the guide is wonderful. Allows me to get noticeably smoother cuts. A bit fiddly to set up but just follow the directions or pull up a YouTube video. Gonna have to buy another for my zero clearance thin blade insert!
