Great watch
The auto EL stays on for about six hours then turns off to save the battery. It is a great feature in my humble opinion.

Excellent utility watch
I bought this straight from Casio. I also got a DW6500 to compare it to.The DW6500 is an ok watch, but this one is excellent.The band is quite breathable and the material it's made of is soft and doesn't make me feel sweaty.illumination of the face is really cool. It has an auto illuminate feature to activate when you raise the watch to look. The whole digital screen alights, and the compass words and ticks around the outside also illuminate. You can mute the watch beeps if you want, which I personally prefer to keep on.It has more alarms than you'll probably use, but it's nice to know you can set 4 different ones.The only downside so far is that the buttons are bit difficult to push sometimes, and it appears to Auto EL doesn't stay set, or it's getting disabled somehow.
