Q: When ordered should there be a plastic seal between the lid and hair mask?

No ma’am I’ve bought this from in person stores no seal

Q: Can you leave this in your scalp ?

if you want extremely greasy roots then yes but it is not a leave in conditioner

Q: how long do I leave it in my hair and how much do I put in?

I have mid-length hair....I just opened my palm up and squirted some in (maybe a tablespoon or so)-I used what I normally do with all my other shampoos. I will tell you. My hair is semi thick, and typically soft- it's also color treated. This shampoo gets the gunk out, but it also leaves my hair a snarly mess. I wondered if I'd ever get a comb through it. ....but I did- Obviously you'll need (at least I did) conditioner. I typically use Redken So Soft- both are amazing....the Maui does get build up out- but I have to use conditioner. Now when I use it, I wash, then immediately after rinsing out- I put a leave-in conditioner in (smaller amount than you'd use normally), then I rinse that out totally- Then follow up with my Redken. Yes, you're putting stuff back in, but it's the only way I can comb out my hair. (and that's using a WET brush) Hope this help.
