Works very well. A couple of minor problems with the charging cycles when I first started using the Newdery. The Newdery and the phone both seemed to be competing for the power from the charger. My phone's screen would light up and it would make a haptic click when it had the charging stream. Then the case would take the screen and the phone would go dark. 30 seconds later, the phone would get the charging stream and the cycle would repeat itself. After three days, this behavior stopped and the phone and the Newdery have been cooperatively charging without any conflict or phone screen cycling. I plug in the Newdery at night and both it and the phone are completely charged in the morning. When the phone runs out of power mid-day, I just press the switch on the back of the Newdery and it immediately begins charging the phone, while I continue to use the phone. With heavy video use during a 16 hour day, I've never depleted the Newdery. It's bigger and heavier than my old case, but it's actually not much bigger than and Otterbox case. Nice, easy to grip rubbery surface. I'm amazed at having only spent about $35 and avoiding the $1000 cost of a new phone! All in all, I'm very happy with the Newdery and would definitely recommend it to friends.

My phone was getting old and the battery didn't last all day. That was OK if I was at home or somewhere inside. However if I was spending the day wandering around NYC or traveling elsewhere I was always in jeopardy of my phone going dead. I found portable chargers to be heavy and clunky. This battery case solved my problem. I really don't feel the weight of it so it is comfortable to carry. The case charges overnight with my phone. I like that the case is not constantly charging the phone. I press a button and then it starts charging. This saves the power for when I need it. It charges the phone quickly too. When it is in use there are 4 lights showing how much power is left so you know if you have enough power left for another charge. I've dropped it a few times and there is no damage. The only shortcoming is that it only comes in black. I wish there was a variety of color/styles. I highly recommend this battery case and would buy it again.

If you're still running a perfectly fine G7 with a weak battery then this is about your only option outside of one of those generic one size fits all chargers you find on ebay that look like overalls for your phone. Fit and finish is good, hand feel is nice, weight is just right. It does not like to charge with my anker 'intelligent' charger, it connects and disconnects constantly so find an older 'dumb' charger, ideally 5v 1 amp or similar and just let it charge overnight. The charging pass though seems to work well, as it charges your phone and then the case battery. Overpriced compared to typical battery cases of questionable origin but then again it beats "upgrading" to a newer phone. The G7 is still a great bargain phone so this will get you though until you buy a used V50 or V60, or even a G8. Sadly, LG is out of the phone business as of now.

LOVE this case. It's durable, easy to use, and carries a little over a full charge. Has saved me at work when I can't be in my office to plug in my phone. Will be fantastic for travel, when I don't want to carry a portable battery and charging cord while walking around.

The case plugged into my phone well and at first I thought it was going to be very handy. The case seemed durable but the way it attached to my phone made me nervous. It literally had a little connector end that sat in the phone's charge port and when the button was pressed the battery would turn on to charge the phone. It meant having to be very delicate taking the case off or putting it back on but I was willing to give it a chance. Luckily I field tested it before I took it to the convention I was planning on using it for because I kept having to turn the battery on to charge my phone. It would charge for a few minutes and then turn off. I had to keep checking my phone every five to ten minutes and the battery just would not stay on. It took over three hours to fully charge my phone as a result. It would have been extremely frustrating to have done that while I was out and about. I returned the case as soon as I realized what a waste it was. I love the idea but until it can actually function without constantly being checked on I wouldn't bother with it.

So, they work really well. I love the size since I have big hands, it is comfortable. I can go a full day with the screen on all day using this case. What I don't like... I am about to order my 4th in 2 years. The charging port on the bottom just fails over time. Does not matter what brand of cable, it just stops charging without moving it around. I bought them on 3/16/19, 4/19/20, 10/7/20 and now I am needing to replace it again. The batteries are fine, just a craptastic charge port that does not last. I do not use it in my hand while charging. I do not abuse it. I recharge every night.

I like the design of the case it is really nice, I also like the fact that I can plug it up and charge it along with my phone.

PRODUCT WAS GOOD FOR 1.5 YEARS BUT CAUGHT ON FIRE AND DESTROYED PHONE ALONG WITH IT. Purchased at the time for friend who used and charged it correctly but it burned. Lucky it was sitting on hard surface while charging otherwise it could have been much worse.
