Great value but if you're looking for a heavy duty rig then this isn't for you
I've had this laptop for about a week now and so far everything has been running smoothly, no major problems and so far has been a positive experience. There are some setbacks about this laptop but thats to be expected given the price for it.Lets start with the prosPros : Extremely lightweight (This has to be the lightest laptop I've ever owned) the slim design and the weight is perfect if you're going to be carrying this laptop around on a daily or even weekly basis. If you're looking for a lightweight office laptop then this is perfect - Fast load times, this is to be expected as it comes with a 258GB SSD, but I thought it was worth mentioning it. Start times are superbly fast, takes no longer than 20 seconds to boot up from fully powered off. - Very silent, this laptop makes very minimal noise, the fan is very quiet, you'll barely be able to hear it if you're two feet away from the laptop Alright lets get to the not so good stuff - Screen quality isn't the best, but hey , this is a £500 laptop , you shouldn't be expecting a 244ghz refresh rate from it. The screen does the job but its not great, although I've had and seen much worse. Its thin size is a plus though. However, to see the screen clearly you'll have to be standing right in front of it, side view makes the screen go black. - Keyboard isn't backlit. This may not be such a big deal for some of you as you only need to have a light on. But for someone such as myself who prefers the room to be a bit darker then it may be an issue when it comes to typing. - Battery life is somewhat short. This is the one thing I was a bit suprised about, I expected the battery to last a bit longer than what it does. It's not a deal breaker for me but its definitely worth looking into it if you're someone who will be using it for hours without a charger available.ADDITIONAL INFO I didn't want to include this on cons because honestly, this is an office laptop not a gaming one so it'd be unfair to add "can't run AAA games" to its cons. If you're looking for something to handle heavy duty games then this laptop is most likely NOT for you. Ideally you want to get something with a dedicated graphics card, but that also means spending more money. I personally do not play any of the newer games and only really touch WoW and League of Legends, which this laptop has been able to run great. I'm getting around 60-120 FPS on LoL on high settings. For WoW (Classic) I had to tune down my settings a little but found a compromise at Medium with 720p res, getting around 40-70 FPS, which is more than playable for me.

Super-fast boot & response but lack-lustre screen
For sure this superfast as promised by the i5 processor & ssd drive. But the screen is a let-down. Certainly it's very sharp BUT contrast is poor with hazy background & narrow vertical viewing angle range. Colour rendition is nothing special - certainly won't be any use for photoshop. The smart thin-frame design is just a very expensive gimmick when considering the short-comings of the screen. I guess I'm a little miffed that Amazon are now selling this model with the larger 512 ssd drive at the same price just weeks after I bought it with 256!!!i

It is a lovely laptop and I love it but the screen is not so good not very good with dark images and under scan is terrible. The build quality is very good and it is very good quality and very speedy and very comfortable to type on

Cheap quality- Not value for money
I bought this as I was in need of a new laptop. I personally wouldn't recommend or buy this laptop again as it feels cheap and I think for a little more money you can get something of better quality.Pros:LightweightRuns recent Windows etcGood size screenRunning/processing speed is okayLooks nice from a distanceCons:Screen quality poorFeels quite 'plasticy' and flimsyNo light up keyboardBattery life is only a few hours with normal usageDoesn't feel 'value for money feel as though the price tag does not reflect the quality.

Very good laptop!
Ordered this laptop for my Uni studies. Initially I had a lot of issues, but then I realized I have to do all updates and once these were done (took about 1-2 hours to update everything, as laptop came with late 2018 app/system versions) it started flying :D Very good purchase, highly recommend!

Does what it needs to do, very quickly
I wanted a faster processor than my old laptop. Everything this does is super quick and battery life is great too. Very quiet, which is an added bonus. Very pleased with my purchase.
