Great taste and freshness but HOLY COW the salt
I had nostalgia for chipped beef I ate occasionally in the Navy 40 years ago. Couldn’t find it locally so I ordered it from Amazon. Based on the recommendation of the recipe I was following, I rinsed off the beef slices to remove salt. It was unsuccessful. It was unreasonably salty, even for dried beef. I ordered chipped beef under a different brand that has approximately half the salt, so I’ll see how that goes.

Product seems to be old. No expiration date.
Expiration date rubbed off- should be beneath the lid but has been removed. What appears to be mold can be seen on product. My item has no expiration date- the date should be visible per below image

Smaller than expected
I was expecting this to be the normal size you find in grocery stores, and the price seemed comparable if it was. Upon receiving it, it is a very small jar. I read the description for the product but not having one on hand to compare it to, didn't realize how much smaller it was. The price paid was way too high for such a small jar. Would not purchase again.
