Robert Spencer has extensive detailed knowledge of Islam from the core Islamic texts and from utterances of Imams and from Muslim mentality and behaviour. This book is proof that "Islamophobia" is a myth and that the fake derogatory term is used as an accusation to shut down honest discussion of Islamic jihad and attitudes to apostates, other faiths, homosexuality, women, and criticism of Islam. Stattdessen hören wir in Deutschland eine Menge byzantinisches Geschwätz, wie damals 1453, und das Bashing von Trump ist der Lieblingssport der Deutschen, während der amerikanische Präsident hinter seinem Pressetheater ein Problem nach dem anderen löst.

Mr. Spenser can be counted to tell the truth regardless who ends up pleased or upset. What I read was informative and to be truthful was very close to my own ideas. “Confessions of an Islamophobe” by Robert Spencer; Bombardier Press (Nov. 2017).“Islamophobia” has been defined as “an unwarranted/irrational fear of Islam”, and, thereby, an “Islamophobe” is one who “irrationally” fears Islam – a defaming word spewed out by those who wish to divert attention of the war-oriented ayat (verses) in either the Qur’an/Koran or the ahadith (the utterances of the Islam prophet Muhammad). However, this book’s author (Mr. Spencer) has repeatedly demonstrated in his many other books that educated, sane people are indeed rational in recognizing that Islam birthed the militant Islam or jihadist Islam that terrorizes non-Muslims, i.e., infidels -- “kafir” [Arabic] or “kafar” [Persian].This book recounts the author’s original youthful, innocent inquiry into Islam -- a journey that revealed to him Islam’s outright hatred of those who fail to kowtow to discriminatory Islamism. Upon discovering the darkness of Islamo-fascism, the author began writing and talking on the subject, and while his enlightenment was received well by some, his revelations about the militancy of the prophet Muhammad angered Islamists who wanted to keep the public ignorant of militant Islamism and the true underpinnings of jihad-suppressive Islam.The author names those within even the U.S. government who tried to suppress his revelations by having him blackballed from speaking before various government audiences – as well as being banned by several European governments from being able to speak publicly to their distracted denizens.Besides recounting his rebuffs, Mr. Spencer recounts how liberal Western media kowtow to jihad apologists in trying to hide Islamist attacks throughout Europe as being inspired by Muslim youths who are being suppressed by “right wing” racists, rather than by Islamic supremacist theology.The author used to hate being called an “Islamophobe”, but he wears that labeling (p.6) with pride now in recognition of his efforts in heralding that the Islamist-jihad threat remains a threat today to women, gays, Jews, Christians, and to both secular liberals and secular-leaning Muslims. These groups are threatened by specific verses in the Quran that are revealed by the author.As Mr. Spencer has noted his “endgame”: “I want free societies to continue and prosper. I don’t want to see future generations of American women subjugated, gays brutalized, Jews and Christians living in a harassed and precarious state” (p. 230). Let us join in rallying to Mr. Spencer’s challenge: “this Islamophobe is not ashamed, and will never be ashamed, of sounding the alarm” (p. 234).

I find many books and reports on why we should not fear the "religion of peace." I wonder if these writers have read the Koran or observed modern history. Islam has never been peaceful, never can be, according to the Koran and many Mid-Eastern Musllim scholars. If you study these things, you find good reason for fear of opposing Islam.Robert Spencer has studied this issue in greater depth than anyone else. What critics call bias is actually the best scholarship. He publishes the clear truth that is there for anyone to find if they will.It is amazing how so much of modern academia and many religious and national leaders have bowed to Islamic intimidation.Robert Spencer is very courageous to take a stand that exposes him to vicious threats.It is not Muslims who need protection. Robert Spencer understands that terrorism is not simply terror – some people doing terrible things on the spur of the moment. It is murder advanced to the level of a moral principle and institutionalized in an organization. Before they can act, terrorists must believe that their violence is moral or holy so that it will achieve some higher good. The actors are not “loser terrorists,” as President Trump recently referred to them.Therefore, the first thing to understand is the ideology incarnated in the terrorist organization that allows terrorists to do this; it is the source of their moral legitimacy. Without it, they or their organization cannot exist.To claim, as so many of our politicians do, that the West needs to improve the economic conditions in the Middle East in order to drain the swamp of terrorism is profoundly mistaken. In this book, Spencer shows that terrorists are produced by a totalitarian ideology justifying terrorism, and its mission is the violent imposition of Islamic religious law. That is its root cause.For these reasons,more Westerners need to understand that Islamic terrorism is based upon a deformed theology, and unless it can be reformed at that level, economic engineering or the development of constitutional political order will not succeed.Many thanks to Spencer for illustrating this in compelling prose.

Brilliantly written. Robert Spencer has a way of writing that is very unusual. Clear, simple language. Facts, facts, and more facts. I find very few authors who are easy to read, who know how to write in ways that make you feel like you're not reading a book. Instead, it feels like he's just talking to you. This is a gift, and incredibly important.Content? The threat of Islam is very real. He has been on the forefront for many years, warning, teaching, educating, sharing. His site, jihadwatch.org, is one of the most important one out there for knowing what is really happening in the world with Islam.If you are not really aware of what's happening with Islam, his books and his site are the best out there for doing a crash course. Islam is THE threat of our times. Educate yourself. There is much at stake.

Muslims and their Apologists are afraid to debate Robert Spencer. Administrators at allegedly institutions of higher learning like Stanford prevented people who wanted to hear him from doing so. He speaks truth to evil. He understands all the nuances of Shariah with it's misogyny, anti-Semitism and death sentences for apostates and non believers.
