Great
Super fun to pour water on and watch this little hamburger grow to 3 inches tall. I put 2.5 cups of water on a pair of these discs in my growing tray and that fills the 8x14 tray. Very clean. Microgreens growing great in it and can get a couple of crops from one set of discs. I don't know how many crops I could do, but 2 works well.

Easy to use
It's too soon to tell if these will do a good job, but they were super easy to use!

Convenient and neat!
Super convenient and less messy than loose dirt especially if you garden indoors, in a hallway, in the winter like I do!

Great item for starting seeds
I have used these before and I have had great luck starting my seeds in these little compressed pellets. I just put them in my pots, water them, then put my seeds in them. Seedlings are growing really well. These are such a great alternative to using a bag of seed starter. Much cleaner alternative.

Be sure to place the thing upright when soaking in water
My kids placed a few rings the wrong way, other than that I don’t think it’s bad. I might buy some more next year

This may not be what you think it is
These are not AT ALL what I was expecting. Based on previous purchases as well as the package image in the product description, these appeared to be approximately the same size as the peat moss disks that have the netting around them which holds it together as it’s hydrated and expands. Nope. Not this one. This is about the same diameter as a dime and there is no netting. So when they are hydrated they simply fall apart! The only possible use it to put them in a tiny container (like a seedling tray with individual cells) before hydrating to hold disk together. But that defeats the purpose of using this type of product. If I wanted to use seedling trays I would have used them along with seedling mix and not spent additional money on coco coir disks. Serious disappointment.

Mold appeared after 2 weeks into germination.
I used a sterile pot, a brand new seed starting tray and clean unused perlite. Several trays with sterile perlite mix, several with just the coco coir and in a matter of weeks, less than 3, spots of fuzzy white mold started appearing on top of the soil. Now all my seedling are dying even though I caught the mold early and removed it, but it didn't save anything. The mold doesn't appear everywhere, but it's enough to cause deaths to my sprouting herbs.

Fantastic product!
Use it to top off many potted plants, as well as to plant amaryllis bulbs.
