I purchased this attachment to use with my Dyson V8 handheld vacuum. It fits snugly and allows me to vacuum my large wool shag area rug.

I am very happy with this brush. I purchased it to use on a couple of area rugs I bought that said you should clean them with a vacuum that does not have a beater bar attachment. I am using the brush with my Dyson v11 cordless vacuum. I find the suction to be excellent, the wheels help the brush move back and forth with minimal effort, and the brush pivots very well. With the adapter it attaches firmly and securely to the wand of the vacuum. I think this attachment is a great value for the money. Durability and longevity remain to be seen, but for the low cost, especially compared to the ridiculously overpriced Dyson branded accessories, I feel this attachment is well worth it. I recommend it.

Do not get it for dense or medium to high carpets, does not work, it will not roll at all.

I like using this better than the original floor attachment with the roller. It’s easier to clean and fits under so much more low furniture. It’s simple, cheap, and works— what more could I ask for?

It’s fit the v8. Works well. But it doesn’t really pick up anything. At least not cat litter. But you got what you pay for. It’s okay for $10.
