The best
POH dental floss is by far the best. It really scrapes the teeth and gets deep under the gums. Highly recommended!

A True Unwaxed Floss
Why did you pick this product vs others?:It is the only true Unwaxed floss that I have found on Amazon. Other flosses say unwaxed but they are Nylon(nylon is unwaxed but not what most people are wanting). A true unwaxed will give you the “squeak” that you want to hear with a true unwaxed. No stores sell a true unwaxed anymore so you have to get it online. It’s a little expensive and a little thin but I will continue to buy it for the Squeak (and the convenience of getting it from Amazon).

EXACTLY what I've been searching for.
Small, wonderful little tin that it comes in.Easy to use and super thin, just the way I like it.What a great product & a good deal in these overpriced times we're living in!

I hated it
It is not strong enough

Very very thin, but not as much scraping 'edge' as I prefer
Pros:> Thinner than all others I've tried - it's possible to easily get it in and out of my tightest spaces (a few of my teeth spaces are so tight that with any other brand I can get the floss directly in, but then have to pull it out the side to avoid yanking a filling out if I try to pull it up the way it went in). So it's a surprise to be able to bring this thinner floss up and out of my tightest spaces without that worry.> Small container - it's about 1/2 the size of my customary Johnson and Johnson Reach, but contains twice the length (Reach is 55 yards, POH is 100 yards)> The 'closed' design keeps it cleaner and drier than my Reach box-lid style container (I never close the Reach lid so water spray gets into the larger container holes into the floss)Cons:> Slightly difficult to grasp the thread to get it started each time- it's a fairly taught short little piece of floss laying flush up against the side of the container where it comes out and runs up to the cutting edge - it's hard to get my finger nail to get under and loosen it so I can start a new piece. I mean it's not impossible, but it's just a little bit harder than the Johnson and Johnson Reach that I've used for years> It seems like the floss is made up of like 50 silk-thin filaments and if I'm not vigilant about continually winding the floss on my fingers to move to a new section (i,e. if I re-use a section between several teeth) it does weaken enough that it will fray as it passes between my sharp tight spaces, and then a 1-2 inch silk-thin filament will get stuck and left behind wedged between some of my tighter teeth - which is hard to get a hold on to pull out - sometimes I have to get a tweezers to get the slippery thin filament to pull it out (some of my teeth are extremely tight). While "Reach" also frays and such, it doesn't leave such thin hard to grasp strands between my tighter teeth. I don't really like having to continually wind more and more of the POH floss around my finger as I move through the length because by the end the 'receiving' finger has so much floss tightly wound around it my poor finger feels like it's about to explode.> Because it is so fine and smooth and I'd almost even say slick (even though it's not waxed), I don't feel it has quite as much of a 'scraping' edge as Reach to scrape the plaque off each tooth -- I find I have to go up and down between each tooth 4-5 times until it doesn't feel slippery, and use a bit more pressure, as compared with using Reach un-waxed which has more of a harder rougher feeling edge and only takes 1-2 passes to feel the tooth has the plaque cleaned off. It goes without saying this is also the reason I would never use any waxed flosses or those ultra slick dental tapes like "Glide".

This floss supports proper flossing.
My dentist said, “Flossing should be a scraping of the tooth until you hear it squeak.” Which POH does. That stuff that glides over the plaque, or potential plaque, does not. It’s just for dislodging things. Eew
