Fantastic little tool for tackling toilet clogs.
I live in a studio apartment with outdated toilets. The building itself is an old building with little going for it in terms of renovations or maintenance. Ever since I've moved into this studio, I have had issues with the toilet clogging, either due to lack of fiber in my diet, or too much toilet paper blocking the u-bend. I was a little apprehensive in buying this. I was experiencing toilet clogging almost on a daily basis. Was getting very frustrated with how much I had to plunge the toilet. I had a nice toilet plunger from bed bath and beyond. They've since been closing down all their stores in the area, and the toilet plunger I had gotten from them, broke with all the vigorous plunging I had been having to do at this studio apartment. I was extremely distraught and frustrated, and knew there had to be a better solution. So, I gave this product a whirl, and I was instantly satisfied after two uses. It takes mere SECONDS to unclog the toilet with this simple tool. Before with the regular toilet plunger, sometimes I was plunging for upwards of 20 minutes to unclog. This product doesn't even take a minute to unclog even the most powerful of clogs. The pricing is outrageously good, and has saved me a lot of headaches since buying this. I will never go back to a traditional toilet plunger. This thing has saved so much of my time and heartaches. Definitely would recommend this product. No installation is required, comes straight as is in the box. The size is somewhat large when compared to a regular plunger, but not really a problem. Ease of access is pretty much the same as a traditional plunger. Comes with its own housing for when it isn't being used to contain from outside elements. I would buy this again over any traditional plunger. Pure genius!

Worked Very Well
My toilet was clogged for days and my pipes were so full I thought they were going to explode. After trying a couple of chemical cleaners I finally tried this product. It took a number of plunges in and out each time a little deeper until finally it worked!! My pipes are completely cleaned out and I can relax. I don't smoke, but I feel like smoking a cigarette. I tossed my old style plunger in the dumpster(see pic).

Great product but handle rusts
Works really well though it does take a min to learn the right angle and force to use. My only complaint is that the "stainless steel" rusts.

Improved Hassle Free 🪠
Have one for each bathroom. Well worth the cost for a quick plunge. For major clogs there can be some small splash, but nothing like a regular plunger. Way easier to use and much improved effectiveness. Buy one and give it a try as you won't be disappointed.

PHENOMENAL - For big and small holed toilets. Thank you!
This thing is phenomenal!!! It's quicker and easier than the ones I've used my entire life. Also, for our newer toilets that have smaller holes/bowls, those regular ones don't even work b/c they're too wide. Life saver! And cheap!

Will Eventually Break-Off in Your Toilet
I had given the Shroom a 5 star review initially, but a couple of years later I have had two Shrooms break-off in different toilets. The more recent of the breaks was a brand new Shroom. Here is what new users (and the unsuspecting) need to know. Most importantly, the Shroom will eventually break off in your toilet. When it breaks, the entire rubber portion separates from the metal handle. It may be hard to conceptualize, but having the rubber portion of the device jammed into the relatively small and, therefore, tight waste outflow hole is very difficult to rectify. The first time this happened to me, I had to scoop out the remaining poopy water so I could get a pair of channel locks on the rubber plug. Though I could get a good grip on the plug, I could barely pull it out as I did not have the benefit of the broken-off metal handle. My second broken device was such that I could not get a good grip on the rubber plug. The Shroom had been inserted all the way into the toilet. Tremendous stress was required to pull it back out and the device was at its most vulnerable angle. As with the first break, the entire rubber part broke off from the metal handle. This time the rubber plug was deeper into the waste flow pipe and there was nothing to grip with pliers, vice grips, or channel locks. We ended up disconnecting the toilet from the floor and taking it to the backyard to perform major surgery. In the end, even with the toilet fully disassembled, we could not pull the plug out. Attempts to push the rubber plug through from the underside also failed. We ended up wasting a total of 10 hours, made a disgusting mess of our bathroom, and had to buy and install a new toilet. For these reasons and despite the irony that I had initially been a huge Shroom fan, I would suggest that anyone considering purchasing a Shroom, instead, stick with the older, slower, sometimes splashy toilet plunger technology.Happy Plunging....

It doesn't work on two Toto toilets I own.
I have a recent vintage Toto 1.2 gallons per flush toilet that stopped flushing reliably - it works OK 10% to 90% of the time. I replaced the inlet and flush valves and saw no improvement. I plunged the toilet with an older plunger and saw no improvement. I tried to use a snake, but the design of the Toto made that difficult. The ToiletShroom is foiled by the Toto design. It appears that output channel does not rise from the bowl outlet at a gentle angle, as shown in the drawings in the ToiletShroom listing and promotional materials. Instead, the output channel exits the bowl and then heads vertically for some distance. The 90-degree turn thwarts the shroom on both of my Toto toilets - it doesn't appear physically possible to get the thing to turn the corner. BTW, It is also difficult to get an auger to turn the same corner. That appears to be true for both a 1.2 gpf and an older 1.6gpf Toto. The company would do potential customers (and Amazon) a big favor by listing toilets that won't work with their product. I am returning it. That is why I am giving it 3 stars.
