Socks for snorkeling fins, insulation, waterproofing
Back in the day snorkeling booties were very thick. These are about as thick as a pair of hiking socks. I got the Large, and they fit my feet snugly--I wear size 10 shoes, but I have short wide feet. In spite of the name, I won't be wearing them for beach volleyball. I didn't even know that was a thing ;-). (I mean wearing neoprene socks for volleyball.) I also won't wear them to walk on coral--not only are these sock thickness rather than shoe thickness, but I'm just not the kind of guy who walks on coral, no matter how dead it might appear.BUT since they're so comfortable--gee whiz, like socks, I might also try them for winter biking when my feet freeze or wear them in our eco-friendly home (like, you know, my wife insists on keeping the thermostat so low she wears thermies all winter.)MAINLY I'm going to wear them in my fins for snorkeling so that I avoid blisters and foot cramps when I'm trying to cover longer distances. I got the high tops, as shown in the picture, which come above the ankles, about the same height as hiking boots. Did I mention we're going to Hawaii for the first time? I've snorkeled in Asia and the Red Sea, but this is my first time in Hawaii. I'm happy to be taking the socks.Note: In the picture I have them on over ankle-high socks. In Hawaii I'll wear them barefoot or in river sandals, but without other socks.

Great for winter volleyball at the beach! Perfect thickness and weight.
We buy a lot of sand socks for beach volleyball and surfing and most of them tear out fast or are too thin (for cold weather or hot sand). I've shopped around and tried probably 10 of other brands. These seem like the perfect mix of neoprene thickness but still light weight and moveable unlike normal surf booties. I tested them in Seattle in about 38 degree weather on NYE at Alki. Worked great with wool socks inside so buy 2 sizes if you want to use for summer as well.I'm an 11 mens and bought the high cut XL. Might be a bit loose in summer without socks underneath.I'll probably use these for surfing sometimes too. Seems like good sturdy construction too unlike many others.Note they do not have the velcro at top but they stay up just fine since the neoprene is thicker than normal sand socks.for the price these are quite a deal too! highly recommend, will update here if they fall apart after more use but comparing to other socks these seem solidhave fun!

I never write reviews..
These are amazing. I followed the size guide & bought extra small for women's size 6 shoe. They fit like a glove. With room to go up 3/4 size & down 1 size.*Will be a little roomy for size 5, but nothing that should deter purchase. Size 4 is pushing it, unless they're still growing. Then I would definitely say go for it due to the secure ankle grip. The toe is enforced with the underfoot grip for durability. The material moves with your foot, so no chafing on the ankle grip. Seam lines in toe have potential to chafe with constant movement, though I haven't had any issues yet.Note: these were designed for outdoor activities. The grip is not rubber. It's designed for flexibility with moderate (material) grip without the weight; so there's less drag under water & far less "catch" when in sand. Great boat shoes if you're in & out of the water!Pros: lightweight, less drag, dries quickly, great maneuverability in sand & under waterCons: not ideal for slippery wet floorsWill be buying again. HIGHLY recommend.***For the outdoors adventurer, I will update my review when tested in rivers/ slippery rockbeds

Warm, but very comfortable and well thought out
The biggest problems I had with these is that they are pretty warm. Also, the bottom of the sole works but is slippery on hard surfaces. This isn't an issue in the sand or other areas and I don't think it will be an issue.I love the comfort of these. They don't slide down your leg due to the grippy portion at the top of the sock. It's not so grippy that it pulls your leg hairs but it grips enough to keep the socks in place.I have recommended these to many friends and I plan on bringing these to Belize with me in March. They are perfect for many different water activities.

My Go-to Pair for Beach Footwear!
I will never be without a pair of these perfect beach socks. I live on the Oregon coast and I've been walking 5 miles a day, sometimes 8, at least 4 days a week in only a pair of the low booty socks. I have to cross 4-wide streams to go as far down the coastline as I do and I never get wet. That water is freezing in February and March too, but my feet have stayed toasty warm. The socks have held up great after 200+ miles walking the beach already and are suprisingly comfortable. But I'll be buying more so I have a pair on hand when I wear these out. Even the best tennis shoes wear out after a few hundred miles so I'm pretty impressed with these. I wear a size 7 1/2 and the Small fit me perfectly.👣❤️

perfect for beach activities
I will definitly recommend this product to every and it's extremly solid and slick. The only reason I am not giving it a 5 star is that if you run on the sand, sands gradually leak into the socks and after a while (maybe 30min), you feel uncomfortable and have to pause, take the socks off and throw the sands out of your socks by any means. I use them for beach volleyball and I love my socks as they are extremely comfy to wear them and running at the fields, but even before one game finishes, the amount of piled sands inside the socks start bothering me especially. For me, this is not a deal breaker as the amount of protection I get from these socks against hot sands or other sharp items by the beach is way important than spending 30 sec in each 30 min to pull sands out of my socks.

Hevto Neoprene Diving Socks
These did not work out for me at all. Thought I could use them for kayaking to keep my feet dry and out of the sometimes really cold water when launching. I found they are not waterproof. On two outings, they leaked both times when standing in water for only a few minutes at a time. They should also be at least four inches higher for my needs. Secondly, the soles are so thin that when I had to walk on a path of small bluestone pebbles it was painful. They will keep the sand out, but that's about it.
