Great condition, very technical
Great condition, very technical, but with a background in Naval technology and basic ship knowledge, was able to follow along. Current mechanical drafting and engineering student and was a good supplement to my studies.

Bought this book to gain a deeper insight into the process of hull design, resistance, powering calculations etc. and this book delivers that and so much more. Heavy going in places for the enthusiastic amateur, it is a reference book that I can see me returning to many times in the coming months and years.

This book is a well written overview of the subject of marine engineering. It is very accessible without too much complex technical detail. What detail there is should be easy to understand for anyone with a background in tertiary mathematics, physics, or engineering. If there were one weakness of this book, I would say it is that it needs more images and diagrams to illustrate concepts.

If you are looking for a general overview of naval architecture, this isn't it. This book is quite detailed, but lacks any sort of 'rule of thumb' type information. Covers the whole spectrum for designing floating structures.

O livro como introdutório atende perfeitamente ao que é aunciado, aborda todos os pontos da arquitetura naval com clareza e simplicidade.

I have already two books by Professor Tupper which are satisfactory but complicated. This book has a better approach to the subject of naval architecture. Delivery was prompt. However I didn't order this book, but now I have it I may as well enjoy it.
