Femme Fatale Deluxe Version

The short version of this review? Femme Fatale (especially the Deluxe Edition) is simply Britney Spears' best album to date. It's everything a Britney fan could ask for. And for those who aren't fans, they will most likely become fans if they like catchy electro dance music. Now for the (very) long version. Femme Fatale is an electro-pop masterpiece that melds pop, techno, and even dubstep together. Every song has fantastic production, creative lyrics, and a star quality that only Britney can pull off. This album is one you will want to listen to whenever and wherever, in the car, at the club, at home, at parties. Britney really put her heart and soul into this album, and it shows through her vocal performance throughout the album as well. Yes, there is a fair amount of production and editing that goes on, but as far as the energy in her vocals (which is something autotune cannot induce),she really has put her best foot forward to make tantalizing dance music. Is Femme Fatale better than Blackout? That is up for you to judge. Femme Fatale is definitely sex-driven, just like Blackout. Every song on this album is different and unique sounding, but there are definitely a lot of similarities to Blackout. Femme Fatale is more like the Blackout 2.0, it's definitely far from the sound of Circus. "Till The World Ends" and "Hold It Against Me" are the singles so far for this album. "Hold It Against Me" is a fantastic song that has a thrusting beat, and the double-entendre is very clever. The album begins with the high-energy "Till The World Ends", written by Ke$ha. It's an amazing dance anthem complete with chants of "woah oh oh oh ohhh" and the vocals are fierce and catchy. These two songs are already an amazing start to the album. The next song is a mid-tempo breakup sex jam called "Inside Out". This is probably one of Britney's best mid-tempos and the lyrics are instantly catchy. We heard dubstep influences in "Hold It Against Me", and "Inside Out" is no exception, it takes the influence to the next level. Next "I Wanna Go" kicks in, and this song is pure fire. The song features some clever whistling, and classic Britney stuttering "I I wanna go go all the way way". This is definitely a highlight of the album, and you won't be able to get it out of your head. The album stays uptempo with the bubbly "How I Roll", which is one of the album's most unique songs. Produced by Bloodshy & Avant, Britney sings some jazzy vocals over electronic bubble pops and a beat made out of her own panting. It's a weird description, but the R&B/Techno-vibe song is very fun and Britney owns it. My favorite lyrics are "I wanna go downtown where my posse's at, because I got nine lives like a kitty cat". Also, she pulls an "If U Seek Amy" with the lyrics of "You can be my thug tonight", but it really sounds like "You can be my f**k tonight" (which after many listens, I am convinced it's the real lyric). "(Drop Dead) Beautiful [Featuring Sabi]" has an infectious beat and chorus, featuring a new female rapper named Sabi. The beat is so sick, and Britney delivers some sassy lines. The song is definitely great with some lyrics that make me chuckle, but Sabi's part is just kind of generic and overly auto-tuned. Next is "Seal It With A Kiss", probably the most hardcore dubstep song on the album, with a hard breakdown in the middle of the song. This song is another one of my favorites as Britney declares her secret love for someone at a party. It also has an identifiable "Oooo Oooo Ooo" throughout that makes it fun. Will.I.Am features in "Big Fat Bass" (pronounced base, mind you) which is one of those tracks that has to grow on you, some will like it, others won't. It's basically a Black Eyed Peas song made just for Britney, as the lyrics are pretty straightforward. She coos in her lower register "I can be your treble baby, you can be my bass" and she says this over and over until the point where "treble" sounds more like "trouble". The beat on this song is very good, it swells and includes some flourishing piano in it. Will.I.Am's rap is nothing special either, but I have to give him credit for the practically flawless production. This "Womanizer" like song is also the longest on the album, clocking in at 4:45. At this point, you are halfway through the album (or more than halfway if you just have the standard edition) and you would expect things to get boring right? Well that's where you're wrong; the last half of the album is just as exciting as the first. The track "Trouble For Me" is a R&B influenced track with a dirty electro beat molded into it. It's here where Britney's vocals sound the most confident and fierce. She sings about a lover who is trouble for her, but a party must-have for everyone else. This song has a great bridge too, and keeps bumpin' till the inevitable end of the song. "Trip To Your Heart" is an effervescent, gorgeous, ballad style electro song. It reminds me of "Heaven On Earth" from Blackout, and a little bit of "Breathe On Me" from In The Zone. Britney's vocals sound soft and pretty here almost like "Everytime" from In The Zone. The lyrics are absolutely beautiful "Spread my wings out into the dark, I'll fly away on a trip to your heart / Break these chains that keep us apart, I'll fly away on a trip to your heart". "Gasoline" picks the pace back up with addicting and clever lyrics like "Spark and it's like gasoline / I start pumping like a machine / My heart only runs on supreme / So hot / Give me your gasoline". The standard length album comes to an end with the incredible "Criminal" which is another ballad like electro song. The song features a cool flute, and Britney sings about loving a bad boy. The song's lyrics make you to wonder if she is talking about her ex: Kevin Federline. Either way, this is a pretty and entertaining song that ends the standard album on a good note. The bonus tracks bring the deluxe album back to party mode with the electric, addictive "Up `N Down". This song is so good and dirty with an amazing bridge, and this song definitely should have been included on the standard edition track listing. "Selfish" is equally amazing, with classic Britney pronunciation of the word "selfish", which sounds more like "seyylfesh". My favorite lyrics from the chorus are "Boom boom baby, pick you up in my Mercedes". "He About To Lose Me" has guitars that remind me of P!nk song, and features Britney's most raw vocals. That is until you get to the chorus, which doesn't sound anything like her. Still, this song is catchy and emotional, probably the only other song not talking about sex. Then the last song is a complete oddball (but really a hidden gem) song, it's a rock/pop song called "Don't Keep Me Waiting" which doesn't fit the electro sound of the rest of the album. What's great about this song is how unique it is, I don't think I can remember the last time Britney sang a rock song. The vocals are very confident and I can totally imagine her rocking out while recording it. As far as the title, her involvement, and concept goes, I would say all these songs fit the concept in a sort of effortless way. Britney doesn't need to try hard to be seductive with her music, she just is seductive with her music. Would it be safe to say she is a femme fatale? Definitely. Seven albums in to her career and she can still captivate us with her image, style and vocal presence. The very fact that Britney didn't write even one song on this album just proves how she easily makes ANY song that she is willing to record her own, and she does it with her undeniable spirit and a voice more unique than any other pop artist on the scene. She doesn't need to be a fantastic songwriter to make amazing music that is exclusively all her own, and neither did some of the greats like Frank Sinatra or Elvis Presley. Even the contemporaries of today don't write much of their own music, take Rihanna's Loud for example. Britney has a had a lot of creative involvement throughout the years, whether it be coming up with a music video idea, choosing album pictures, or co-writing some of her biggest hits ("Me Against The Music" and "Everytime"). I would hope that seven albums into her career that we would stop questioning her talent, voice, creative drive, and rather be accepting of it. The best thing Britney has done for a decade now is sing, dance, and deliver fantastic pop music. If anything, Britney has earned her Ph.D in the art of seduction via music. Overall Femme Fatale is an amazing record, Britney's best if I dare say so. Or at the very least a flawless equal match to the magnificent Blackout. It has all types of songs, and really nothing on it disappoints me. The vocals are amazing (she experiments every part of her range, from the high notes in "Trip To Your Heart" to the lows of "Big Fat Bass"), the production is consistently flawless, the beats and lyrics are top-notch, and the album stands alone as a gorgeous, one-of-a-kind, dance record. This album is where Britney is completely in her zone; giving her fans the best music she's ever made. This album is far better than anything the other Pop divas of today (Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Beyonce, Rihanna) have put out in the past year or so. Only Britney can pull an album like this off anyways. I would very highly recommend this album to any and all Britney fans, but also to anyone who is looking for amazing, feel-good, dance, avant-garde, pop music. I am so proud of and thankful to Britney and her producers for making this album; it really is a pop masterpiece for 2011. Rating: 5/5 Stars or an A+

From the first to the last track, Femme Fatale just blows my mind away every single time that i've listen to it! (09/10) It's just amazing to listen to the different and brilliant ways that Britney's vocals sound each track, showing how versatile she can be. What is also amazing are the instrumentals, so well produced by the creatives Dr. Luke and Max Martin and others producers that worked on this, taking it to the next level, baby! Femme Fatale is an excitingit-non-stop-dacingin album that you can't miss, it just sounds like a 2020 Greatest Hits Album bringing us only the BEST of Britney Spears. track-bytrack review: 1 - "Till The World Ends" - (10/10) - Almost impossible not to dance and sing along. Club Anthem of 2011. 2 - "Hold It Against Me" - (09/10) - One of the most alternative pop songs she's ever made, with a breathtaking dubsetp-based break, taking it to the next level. Runner up for Club Anthem of 2011. 3 - "Inside Out" - (09/10) - An almost possessed Britney asking to be "turned inside out" with one of the best vocals i've ever listened to. 4 - "I Wanna Go" - (10/10) - Looks like a David Guetta's #1 hit, but better! (If you're wondering "What could be better than a #1 hit?", the answer is Britney Spears!) 5 - "How I Roll" - (09/10) - The most creative song of Femme fatale, this instrumental is so much fun to listen to. It's fresh, creative and fills you up with joy. 6 - (Drop Dead) Beautiful (Feat. Sabi) - (10/10) - This is the right song for the real Femme Fatales around the world. Spears insane vocals absolutely take this song to the next level. 7 - Seal It With a Kiss - (09/10) - Another one that fills you up with joy, the bustep-inspired break is even better than the one on Hold It Against Me. 8 - Big Fat Bass (Feat. Will.I.Am) - (10/10) - The most addictive track of the entire album. Will.I.Am is just a genious. Gotta love it! 9 - Trouble For Me - (09/10) - A sexy and sassy Britney asking for trouble! Together with "I Wanna Go" and "Big Fat Bass" they made the Eletro-Pop momento complete. 10 - Trip To Your Heart - (10/10) - An up-tempo synth-pop romantic lullaby from 2020! One of THE BEST tracks os the album. 11 - Gasoline - (08/10) - Britney's hot and everybody knows it! Been there, done that... 12 - Criminal - (08/10) - Looks like it doesn't belong to Femme Fatale (it'd be better on In The Zone). 13 - Up n' Down - (09/10) - Addictive lyrics make this song great, one of the reasons you should by the Deluxe Edition. 14 - He About To Lose Me - (07/10) - The ugliest vocal on Femme. Even tough the lyrics are catchy, this is the only track os Femme Fatale i didn't like. 15 - Selfish - (09/10) - A develish, mean and rich Britney inviting us for a ride on her Mercedes? Gotta love that! 16 - Don't Keep Me Waiting - (09/10) - Like "Rock Boy" and "I Love Rock and Roll", this is Rockstar Britney! I think she sould consider working on a Rock album... It'd be amazing!

"Femme Fatale" Deluxe is a fantastic album by Britney Spears that contains tracks that have a high energy dance beat. I also do agree that the bonus tracks are fantastic. I thought that both her "Blackout" and "Circus" albums were good. However, in my humble opinion, Britney has gotten even better with this album. This "Femme Fatale" Deluxe edition contains songs that are of the dance/pop genre (many of these musical tracks can be played at a party, and I'm certain are going to be played at many clubs). My personal favorite musical tracks on this album are "Hold it Against Me", "Gasoline", "I Wanna Go", and "Trip to Your Heart". "Hold it Against Me" is a song about aggressively going after someone that interests you, and bluntly telling them how you feel. "I Wanna Go" is a very daring and racy dance song about wanting to follow through on some "desires" running through the mind. "Gasoline" is my overall favorite of this collection and is a fun song about a person that ignites a strong sensual attraction that they create a feeling of passionate excitement (hence the lyrics you set me on fire). In a positive way, "Gasoline" is the 2011 version of Madonna's musical gem that is titled "Burning Up". "Trip to Your Heart" is an uplifting song that shows the more romantic and sensual side of Britney. "Trip to Your Heart" appears to be about pursuing someone that you care about. The best way to tell if you are going to enjoy this selection is if you have listened to, and enjoyed any of the following songs: "Radar", "Circus", "Rock Me In", "Break the Ice", and/or "And Then We Kiss". I would also recommend this collection for those who enjoy dance and/or pop music.

Britney is back, and she makes that very clear on her latest album. `Femme Fatale' is dripping with character and just oozes sex appeal that laces every track and makes Britney and undeniable force. She really dominates here, switching up her style to modernize her sound and make herself relevant again in a genre populated by the stylings of Lady Gaga and Katy Perry. Britney is back to prove she still has a place in your stereo, and `Femme Fatale' proves that with ease. So, here is a little breakdown of the great, the good and the undecided. The great: `Till the World Ends' is slick and simply put rather stunning for what it is. It booms with slick beats and soft vocals that are enticing and commanding at the same time. The high register on the chorus are sublime, and the chants add and anthem appeal to the track. It is extremely club heavy, which is a great direction for Britney since it shows an evolution to her music. `Hold it Against Me' was the PERFECT choice for the album's first single. It's edgy, sexy and straightforward. It has that `Gaga' feel to it, in that it dives headfirst into her techno/pop genre, and it contains some beautifully controlled vocals from Britney. In fact, Britney has rarely sounded better than she does on this album. The musical breakdown on the bridge is flawless (that whole "give me something good" part) and just creates one of the best tracks the `Princess of Pop' has delivered in a long time. I love the contrast of soft and hard from the chorus to the verse, and the fact that it is the reverse of the usual (in that the chorus is far softer than the verse) also adds a layer of intrigue to the song. `Inside Out' has a great tone. I actually LOVE this song. It may be my favorite on the album. It has a soft musicality that is accompanied by slickly delivered vocals that just slide right off of Britney's tongue with expert precision. `Drop Dead (Beautiful)' just nails the whole club tone. Sure, the vocals are overshadowed by the electronic aspect of the track, but it works. The chorus just booms with excitement. `Gasoline' has a great rock edge to it, that Britney OWNS with such ferocity. It just melts in your ears. I love the spunk she brings to her delivery of the chorus. It's direct and almost aggressive and yet playful at the same time, especially with the high-pitched backing vocals. It's just so darn catchy! The (very) good: `I Wanna Go' is fun and sassy with a nicely constructed beat. The pre-chorus grew on me considerably, and the chorus itself, while feeling a tad disjointed, has a nice air of nostalgia wrapped up in it. It's a good song, bordering on great. I have a feeling that this could be considered `great' by me in a few months. `Seal It With a Kiss' also works pretty well. The beat is a tad simplistic, but it works well for the tone of the track. The verse structure is great, but the chorus leaves a bit to be desired. It feels a tad lazy in its execution. `Trip to Your Heart' is soft and sweet and feels almost fairy-tail like in its delivery. It could have used a little more edge, to even it out a bit, but it kind of works. I can't tell if `Criminal' is great or just deceptively good. I mean, I really like it and yet I kind of don't. The tone is strange, feeling almost detached from the remainder of the album, and yet it feels almost appropriately tagged onto the end of this star-turned album. Her vocals are distant and yet they pierce. I have to listen to this one a bit more. Maybe it's the best track on the whole album, I just haven't realized that yet! The decent (or the undecided): `How I Roll' is a bit of a conundrum since everything I like about it (the absurd uniqueness of it all) is everything I can't stand about it. It is so different (the vocals and the musical arrangement) and yet I'm not quite sure it really works entirely. I'm kind of over Will.i.am, and he spews his personality all over `Big Fat Bass', which borders on `very good' but settles into `decent' thanks to his presence. He just consumes everything he touches, taking away the artists individuality in order to reflect his own taste. That said, there are elements of this song that really work nicely. `Trouble For Me' feels like a Katy Perry song. It's pretty good, but out of place on the album and just doesn't possess any `pop'. It quickly feels generic, and the pre-chorus is terribly unbecoming. In the end, this is best thing she's released in a long while. It actually flows (for the most part) from start to finish, and even the songs I'm less fond of contain intriguing aspects that make them admirable (all except `Trouble For Me', which is just `eh'). Of course, the musical scent hasn't brought Britney and this time, and the command of professionals with which she worked over "Femme Fatale", has helped to embody all ideas in a reality. It is possible to assert safely that here you won't find compositions through passage: "Trouble For Me", "Trip To Your Heart" and other songs won't allow to doubt it for a second. "Femme Fatale" as the new standard of quality Music has property constantly to change, following not that to a fashion, not that to a freakish trajectory of evolution. At Britney Spears there is an amazing property sensitively to catch all these new trends, however the singer isn't arranged at all under them. Its ideas in a combination to desire to create something new and unusual and so yield tremendous results. Even though I didn't care for Blackout, I really liked Circus. So, I was excited for this new album because many early reviews said it was mostly dance music. Britney has a few ballads that were good, but I think her talent is best used on upbeat, fast tracks. Happily, that's what we have here and I enjoyed the majority of 16 songs on the deluxe edition (a rare feat these days). And those four extra tracks are worth getting the deluxe CD for. Yes, some of the lyrics are a little silly (with sexy panting and cooing) and a few tracks are "overproduced" with unnecessary techno riffs. Overall though, the songs are very catchy - the kind you find yourself singing or tapping along to. The style is a lot like Lady Gaga actually, and easily as good. And great for dance clubs - I expect some amazing remixes will come out of this album. For me the standout tracks are: Hold It Against Me, (Drop Dead) Beautiful and, ironically enough, Big Fat Bass. The song is ridiculous, but I just can't get it out of my head. The beat is amazing, with a catchy hook, and Britney's voice is strong and even. Plus, Will.i.am is actually a good match. Some other notables are gasoline and selfish. And the last track is a surprisingly good rock song; a nice change for her. I will listen to this album again and again. Highly recommended to Britney fans, and pop music fans.

We all know that Britney Spears is not the strongest vocalist out there. But when she makes an album, she makes some great pop music. With Britney taking an hiatus from recording since her 2008 album, "Circus", it gave her time to learn what she truly wanted in her music. Personally, I love Britney's dance music. Although she can't dance the way she use too, her music is still amazing. The album opens with second single, "Till The World Ends", which is a fun, up-tempo, dance track that is great for the album opening. Then it picks up with first single, "Hold It Against Me". I loved this song when it first premiered and I will continue to love it. The beat is hot, her vocals are typical Britney, and the dubstep breakdown is my personal favorite from the song. A straight shooter. Britney did mention that she would have some "ballads" on the album but they would be up-tempo ballads. This comes in with, "Inside Out". A great track that has a hard knocking bass line. The dancing picks back up with, "I Wanna Go", the insanely different, yet clever, "How I Roll", and the party anthem, "Drop Dead (Beautiful)". "Seal It With A Kiss" is my Hold It Against Me Pt. 2. With a great beat, catchy melody, and another insane dubstep breakdown, it's a personal favorite of mine. The highlight of the album comes with, "Big Fat Bass", featuring will.i.am. Everything pop comes in on this record; a knocking bass line, catchy hook, and a great rhythm. Next we have my personal favorite, fun, "Trouble For Me", the Unusual You of the album, "Trip To Your Heart", the noticeable Dr. Luke produced, "Gasoline", and my least favorite, "Criminal". But with the deluxe, the fun doesn't stop there. It kicks in with the very catchy, "Up N' Down", one of Britney's best pop ballads, "He About To Lose Me", the Stargate produced, dance record, "Selfish", and another standout, pop/rock, "Don't Keep Me Waiting". Overall, Femme Fatale packs a punch in many ways, From dubstep, to pop, to catchy hooks, and amazing production, you can't go wrong with Britney this year.

Probablemente este es uno de los mejores trabajos de la princesa del pop. Este es un album que podrás oir de principio a fin sin aburrirte. Recomiendo bastante la versión de Japón pues trae un tema extra que las demás versiones no lo contienen, además viene un booklet adicional con las letras de todas las canciones.
