A great little book -I hadn't realised that the actual size of the book is only about 175 x 225 mm so the print size is a bit small for those of us who are a bit older. Otherwise a very good read; knowledgeable and well presented. There's a few pages on the science and aerodynamics of the sound barrier, the problem of kinetic heating, the rival American SST and TU 144 and a whole chapter on the awesome powerplant which are useful in appreciating just how advanced a machine Concorde actually was and still is though it's described as "noisy" which really doesn't do Concorde justice. Happy to recommend this book and good service from Amazon as usual

This book covers many of the technical aspects of Concorde and its operations with summaries of all of the major systems. It also includes information from the perspective of the different members of the crew. The book also has information on some of its more spectacular flights such as viewing total eclipses.A good book on the aircraft and its development and in service operations.
