PRORIDER 4-1/2" Wide English Aluminum Endurance Safety Cage Saddle Stirrups Blue 51110LB

I bought these caged stirrups so I could safely wear hiking boots while I ride (so your foot doesn't get stuck in case of an unexpected dismount). I needed them fast, and Amazon had the best price/ship time on caged stirrups. I was very pleasantly surprised by quality and comfort and durability of these stirrups. I thought to use these temporarily while I waited for a nicer pair to come in, but now these are my nicer pair! I use them for endurance racing and very comfortably completed a 50 mile race in them. I've been reluctant to buy equine goods off Amazon as historically I haven't had good luck, but lately the quality of equine goods on Amazon has gone way up!

Stirrup is awesome. Unfortunately I was unable to find replacement cages so the first time one needed replaced it makes the stirrups useless. You are better off to buy a better brand with the extra cages.

They arrived earlier than promised. Exactly what I wanted. The curve in the stirrup is big and there is no tread on the pad, so I had a hard time keeping field boot in stirrup at a canter ( I have a dressage saddle, so probably not an issue with a jump saddle). Perfect for trail/endurance riding with hiking boots as foot will not get stuck in a fall. Fits English leathers but the metal rubbed them, so I recommend not using with soft calf leather. I switch out my English stirrups & calf leathers with cheap Greenhawk leathers covered in jersey material to protect the saddle. Otherwise, these are great and I feel much safer on the trail!
