Another fantastic histamine-safe probiotic blend from the best natural anti-histamine company
This formula is similar to their ProBiota HistaminX blend, expect it's all bifidobacterium strains. (The other formula also includes two lactobacillus/lactiplantibacillus strains.)But both formulas use only strains that do not add or trigger more histamine, thank goodness! I take the ProBiotia HistaminX and give this one to the cats. (We had a cat on antibiotics who ended up at the emergency vet with life-threatening constipation. Never again.) They don't have histamine issues (as far as I know!), but it's gentle for them while still being effective and they don't even need me to camouflage it. I just sprinkle some on their food. Big plus.I highly recommend either one if you need a well-researched and reliably effective probiotic formula, but especially if you have any issues around histamine and need one you know won't make them any worse. Dealing with histamine issues is tricky enough. Iykyk. I use a combination of their formulas for mine and am very happy to say they're now managed as a result. Thank goodness.

Reordering now, these seem to help
Two years ago I went on a specific paleo diet. This diet did not work for me. Everyone is different, but my system could not handle the high histamine fermented foods; coconut aminos, kraut, kefir etc., along with the high histamine leftover meat meals that I was relying on as a primary source of calories. I developed hives, I believe, as a result of this style of eating. Those of you in the same situation know how devastating hives can be. I can no longer drink alcohol without breaking out in hives, direct sun can bring them on, itchy or tight clothing, many things aggravate them. Before the diet, I would get red in the cheeks when drinking alcohol, but nothing more. I have also always had very sensitive skin as well as dermatographia. (maybe these are clues that a person has issues with histamine and should think twice before following this type of diet!) Anyhow, after a lot of hunting for a solution on the internet, I came across these bifido only probiotics. I also read positive reviews here.. thank you! I have tried some other supplements and lifestyle changes, as well.As for the ProBiota Bifido: I took these 2-5 times a week, sometimes emptying the capsule into a smoothie with a not-to-ripe banana for the extra prebiotic fiber. I still had hives while taking these but they got less and less severe. I was able to stay in the sun longer. I no longer had hives under my boots and socks every day. When I did break out in hives, they would go away quicker. I stopped counting on getting hives every day while taking these. I would only get a severe reaction at concert or similar situation where you are moving around and its hot and exciting. I would say these probiotics and maybe some other things made me 60 percent better. The interesting thing is that after I went through a bottle and was no longer taking them, my hives were at an all time low. I thought maybe they had run their course. Its been about a month since I've run out, and the hives seem to be creeping up a little more often again :(, like there is still a probiotic war going on in my system, the good guys (bifidobacteria) might win, they just need another army... lol. So I am reordering now.I will add that eating a balanced diet, NOT eliminating foods, has helped me, personally. I believe that when I cut certain foods and entire food groups from my diet, I set myself up for nutrient/vitamin/mineral deficiencies that perhaps pushed me toward not being able to process certain foods/substances anymore, so I avoided even more foods, deepening the problem, creating a vicious cycle. I slowly began eating a little of everything again, minus the fermented stuff. I also lost too much weight on the diet, I find that as I gain it back, symptoms seem to go down as well!I really hope this review helps someone out there in a similar situation. :)

I notice an almost sweet taste in my mouth after taking it
Hi, at the moment is seems to doing the trick: controlling histamine. I am taking s boulardii, and aor probiotic 3.the lactic acid producing probiotic generates too much lactic acid which I do not tolerate. Although I react to any ingredient in it, I notice an almost sweet taste in my mouth after taking it.It seems like the Candida or whatever evil I have is being defeated. It's like I had an acidic body and this combination is leading me to a more alkaline status.Update 04/10/2015 this is the only prebiotic i tolerate. Currently I'm trying:aor probiotic 3,(this give me histamine issues and after two weeks i don't notice anything)Jarrow s boulardii( this seemed to help but it increased multi histamine too, giving me heart racing, but seems to compete with dysbiosis)Solgar 40 plus acidophilus (this seem to have a strain very helpful i think it's l rhamnosus gg but I'm not sure, it helps my digestion definitely BUT it also gives me histamine issues, waking up sooner than usual and heart racing. It helps me digest dairy)None of the probiotic mentioned even seeking health one have improved the constipation.Seeking health definitely helps with the acidosis in my body and helps somewhat with digestion, i notice better sleep, and more calmness.I seem to have a problem with d lactate probiotic and histamine, in that regard i feel probiota bifido helping.I am waiting for prescript assist and hopping it makes a difference. In the meantime my money is with probiota bifidoEdit after a bottle:I must downgrade it to three stars after starting with Gutpro. It is the only item after a myriad and five years of suffering and guessing i have dysbiosis h pylori and big Candida overgrowth that it is returning my gut to what it used to be.I have a bottle of prescript assist in the counter but at the moment i will trust gutpro only.Give it a try.The probiota bifido is d lactate free, and this is big news, but it lacks potency to give a result. My reflux and food intolerance to gluten dairy and soy remained the same. With gutpro the reflux is giving up and i tolerate dairy the best in five years.I am astounded with this probiotic.UPDATE:This is the only probiotic i tolerate on the long term along with prescript assistSo i upgrade the review
