Product Description
A feature length episode of John Sullivan's popular comedy, first broadcast at Christmas 1987. Del and Rodney seem to have struck it rich when it transpires that one of their mum's gentlemen friends, known as Freddy 'the Frog', died leaving them a fortune in stolen gold bullion. Now all they have to do is locate it!
Synopsis
This special Christmas episode of Only Fools and Horses finds Rodney (Nicholas Lyndhurst) getting a swank new job while Del's (David Jason) computer business proves to be no more profitable than any of his other schemes. At a wedding, however, the boys run into Renee, who tells them about an old friend of their mother's named Freddy the Frog who has left all his money to their family. This supposed fortune--a stash of gold bullion--quickly becomes Del's fixation.

From the Back Cover
Despite Rodders undertaking a dead impressive new job, life for the Trotters is far from Kushti. Del's state-of-the-ark computers are going down about as well as bacon sandwiches at a bar mitzvah, while at the market, Uncle Albert's unconvincing performances of lumbago recovery have left the flat knee-deep in x-ray massage gizmos.Still, things can only get better... At Trigger's niece's nuptials ("only a hyphen or two away from a society wedding") they encounter an old friend of the family - Trigg's Aunt Renee. What she tells Del and Rodney about their mum's old pal "Freddy The Frog" leaves the boys desperate for more. Rodders is eager to learn why this charming villain left all his money to the Trotters and how come everyone notes his resemblance to his mum's "friend". Del Boy is more interested in what happened to the Frog's Legacy - a hoard of undiscovered gold bullion. Are they, at last, about to become millionaires?

Solid Only Fools escapade.
One tiny detail to clear up; this special OFH episode was first aired on Xmas day 1987, not 1981 as is stated on Amazon. I've read several reviews of this & I respect some fans rating this as a weak Only fools escapade. However, personally I love it & there is much to commend it. The banter between the characters is superb & the outdoor scenes work very well in my opinion. It's also great to see Joan Sims appear as Del's late mum's best friend. Ok, there ARE some little plot holes but nothing that detracted from my enjoyment. And it stands up well to repeat viewings because, as with nearly all Only Fools episodes, it's so well acted & nuanced.

Great stuff.
The sort of film you can watch time and again and it still stays hilarious. Triffic as Del Boy would say. Luverly Jubbly. Really hilarious as usual. Great stuff.
