Q: can I use the controller without the black terminal block that came with the signal? Like hook up the wires from behind the sockets To the controller

You really don't need to use the terminal block. You can connect the wires directly from the light fixtures to the controller. It's preferable as you are reducing the number of connection points.

Q: Will this run a dialight crosswalk led insert with a countdown next to it? I’m wanting one that will countdown.

Yes. The countdown timer is internal to the signal and synchronizes with the don't walk duration.

Q: Can the board be installed with a dimmer switch?

Yes. You can use the common output to dim both lights.

Q: I have a stop go light (red/green). Will this work to operate it? And can i adjust the times?

Yes this will operate it. You will be able to adjust how long you want the red light on for and how long you want the green light on for.
