Patterns for Terrariums and Planters

This is an old book but it does provide a large number of good Terrarium (planter) designs and gives a well described set of construction instructions. Terrarium book options appear very limited, wish the author would do an update with more design possibilities. A book on designing your own Terrariums would also be a great addition.

For me patterns with color visually enhances my creativity so I really want to make the item. The only color on this book is on the cover.

I mistakenly thought that this book was about actually planting terrariums. So when I first received it by mail, I was much disappointed. However, I decided to try to make the most of it. So, I took it to a local shop in my neighborhood where people make and sell beautiful stained glass pieces. I've now entered into a nice partnership with a young woman who is very excited about the plans and instructions for building your own glass and stained glass terrarium containers. She is in love with this book and says it is well written for someone like her to know how to proceed. We're going to make a great team as she will build these masterpieces from this book, I will then do the planting. I can't wait!

I decided to get into stained glass. I have been working with sand blasting glass for a while. This was a pleasant change. I have made some of the Terrariums and Planters but they did not last long. Mother and children wanted them. The patterns in the book are good for using.

So far, so good. I am working on one of the Terrariums now. It is a little different than doing a flat stained glass panel.

A nice book for "how to", but a little out dated in design. I ended up making one planter so far. I am more apt to make my own "creations" for panels, but follow the steps outlined in this book.

Love this book, cant wait to make some.

Just the sort of thing I was looking for. The projects are varied and interesting with instructions easy to read and understand.
