Wilton White Icing Tube

Ok, I was a little taken aback by the price, but when I got it in the mail, I discovered I had been sent three tubes. It kind of felt like I won the lottery! So anyway, I made a record player cake for my husband for his birthday and needed black icing. I wanted something easy to use but tasted great. I didn't want to just dye some chocolate icing because it never gets to true black for me. This stuff is BLACK. I really don't want to know how they do it but they do it well. It even tastes good and sweet like it should. It doesn't come with a tip, but you can purchase any sort of tip and use that on this tube as long as you also buy a coupler for it. Or simply squirt it into a plastic bag and snip off a corner and use it that way. I did empty the tube out into a bowl and mixed in a little water to make it go on smoother. It is a thick icing so if you need to ice a cake with it or do detail work you will want to thin it out beforehand. A lot easier than making your own, that's for sure!

This red tube icing tasted awful!! I have used Wilton products for years and this is the first time I was dissatisfied. I wasn't able to send it back (money wasted). However I ordered the other Wilton red tube icing and it tastes great. Read the reviews before ordering because the nasty one didnt come in a tube like the picture showed.

What can you really say about icing? If you aren't making your own, Wilton is clearly the best alternative. Black is tough from scratch unless you want to use chocolate as the base, so this is a standby in my house. It tastes great and is the perfect consistency for decorating. It will turn one's tongue a lovely shade of dark purple, but the color does not seem to stain anything else.

Easy to use!

We decorated Halloween treats in my Preschool class. It worked well, except for the tip was a little bigger than I thought it would be so we had to be extra careful. Other than that, it worked well.

Just like many of the other reviews, I’m here to say do NOT buy this product. It IS bad. Unfortunately for my daughter, she made Thanksgiving cupcakes, beautifully decorated, and when we tried them, they tasted off. I went back to this tube and realized it smelled horrible. Definitely gonna have to throw all her cupcakes away.

Did not accept the Wilton standard tip, though all the other colors I ordered did. It tasted okay, but some kids could taste the dye. I don't think I would use it again, but it was easy to use, less the tips not fitting.

Item was fresh and much less than retail

I’m sure this product would have been good if it hadn’t expired. By the time I decorated the cake and then tasted it, it was rancid, and there was no expiry date on the tube. Very disappointing.

Un super glaçage mais une étoile en moins car l’embout pour dessiner n’est pas avec , donc pas évident à appliquer , dommage

this product was very disappointing as it doesnt come with piping nozzles & difficuilt to find ones that fit so still trying to find them but Im sure icing will be ok when I do
