Almost 2 Years Later - Meant To Review These Earlier, I Love These Things
I was once again sitting at my computer enjoying the soothing sound of these chimes, thinking to myself how much I love them. When I realized that even though I had planned to review them, I never had. I've been purchasing too many things on Amazon for decades, but rarely submit a review. Especially after all this time enjoying them (almost 2 years), these Music of the Spheres chimes definitely deserve a long-term review.Winds here now are @ 8 MPH, the chimes are right in their sweet spot (@ 5 - 16 MPH) at our primary location for them at the end of the front porch. In that sweet spot, they are pretty active, melodic, resonant, and relaxing. That position on the end of the porch, gives them the greatest access to winds. If the winds, get much above that, I often move the chimes to one of a couple more sheltered locations, because they can sometimes get a little loud and clangy with higher gusts in this windy location. I move them not because they are irritating to us then, but I'm trying to make sure they don't disturb/irritate any neighbor, especially at night (only had positive comments from neighbors thus far). Three or four times I have had to remove the chime's sail, because of conditions too windy even in the most sheltered location. The chimes can definitely be "place and forget" in some locations, but I like to relocate as needed to keep them at their best, because I love their relaxing sound. I've heard many other chimes, but none have sounded better than these (IMO, especially this tuning - took me too much time debating on tuning, but I believe this is the one to check out 1st - listen to sound clips of their different scales, then compare to competition). They are so soothing. I know not everyone can relate, but they kind of remind me of a handpan or Rav drum in their relaxing sound qualities (if not familiar look them up and listen to a longer clip, and get an idea of what I mean).2 years later, they sound and look as good as when I first put them up. I haven't been shopping for new chimes recently because I've been 100% happy with these, but I doubt if anything else is yet competitive with the Music of the Sphere chimes at close to this price point. You can definitely spend much less, but the quality, the flexibility, and most importantly, the sound won't be in the same league. I really do love these things.

Beautiful construction, incredible clarity and best of all: free music!
We bought our first soprano MOTS chime a year ago, it was a Hawaiian and we had heard nothing like it. When I saw the 100$ price, I balked, but the sound was so good that I paid up. Over the months, I realised that some things just have to be paid for , if you want that sort of quality. So I went to the MOTS website and heard all the chimes, I loved the Altos, but realised that not only are they expensive for a chime, but also they're large in size.So I thought a Mezzo would be a good compromise. The mezzo gives longer lasting chimes and is more soothing than my soprano, its very relaxing.. I'm really tempted to get an Alto now.. wonder if I should...With the chime moving toward the base, you get delayed decay of the tone and it just reverberates, check our their excellent site (on a regular computer, not an iphone or ipad) You will love what they have. You can get exactly similar chinese knock offs at almost half price, but the sound gives them away, those sound good, but no where near the sublime experience a MOTS chime gives youI hear my Hawaiian Soprano outside our window and it sounds just like the website, so you can be pretty sure what you're gettingBuy the chimes, they seem as they will last forever, and whenever the wind blows, you will hear enchanting music.. well worth it a 100$ in my opinion!

Amazing sound from a expretly crafted INSTRUMENT!
All I can say is WOW. The construction is exquisite. The aesthetics are perfect, and the sound....well it is amazing. They are indeed perfectly tuned and the resonance is something you would expect from an orchestral instrument not a wind chime. The price of course will be a set back to many but let me assure you, if you are looking for a piece of outdoor decor that will bring soul to your environment, these charms are the answer. These will be my Christmas gift to everyone this year and I know that each one will be appreciated. I am also picking up a lower octave set in an alternate tuning to really get the most out of these AMAZING wind chimes. The individual chimes can be listened to at the manufacture's website. I would use head over to find the set that fits your ear the best.

Quality and precision
I got this for my wife as a present and she loves it! Yes, they are more expensive. But if you want to hear music, not some tinny clinking sound, this is the way to go. At least once a week she mentions how much she loves the sound of it. This is a quality musical instrument, and we love listening to it every day.

Best chimes!!!
This is the 4th set of chimes I’ve bought to give as gifts. I have this set and I love it! Such beautiful tone and very durable. I have had mine hanging on my porch for 5 or 6 years and it is still as beautiful and sounds as beautiful as it did when I first got it. You will not be disappointed.

Great sound
My wife really loved the sound she heard online but was thrilled with the sound when she got the chime for Mothers Day. The company really went all out to make sure it arrived on time. Great product, great company.

Beautiful tones
The chimes made by this company are the very best one can buy. My sister has had her two sets for almost 20 years and they are still beautiful and sound wonderful. I'm glad I finally got one for myself. I threw my tinny sounding chimes in the trash upon receipt of these!

Great for close residency.
Really nice. Not a overwhelming sound for close residencies. In fact I may be about half deaf, but at about 50ft, and a 20mph wind, in the city with obstacles, is about which it will work and does not annoy the neighbors.
