Ryders Eyewear Hijack Photochromic Sunglasses - Men R607-005

These glasses fit well, are optically neutral & light. However, the lens colouring is deceiving in the pictures. The medium Grey color is much darker than expected. Early morning or evening bush rides can get a bit dangerous.The photochromatic capability is not very prominent. It's not clear if this feature is for all the lenses or just the clear ones.

When I am mountain biking I often go from dark forests to exposed areas which are completely sunny. My old sunglasses, which were not Photochromic, worked good in the sun but not so good in the dark forests. In some cases I had to take my old sunglasses off because it was too dark and I couldn't see. These Photochromic Ryders work great in all conditions: dark, light and anywhere in between. I can just put them on and ride.

Great glasses for Mt. Biking where I go from sunlight to tree shaded areas or I am riding near dusk.

They're comfortable. They don't fog too quickly. They look decent. They handle changing light conditions well... but they do not seem to adjust their light transmission. I've had other photochromatic lenses that really shifted from nearly clear for night riding to well shaded for bright sun. These work fine for sunny rides but they're a bit dark for cloudy days and way too dark for night riding.

When riding on singletracks they're awesome. Not so great on really sunny days though. With that being said still pretty good pair of shades.
