Great value
Small and foldable. Does what it says. I'm a bit worried about how healthy the material is-especially when heated-but won't be using it that regularly. If you're planning to, give this some thought and go for glass ones..Generally really good for trips and small bedrooms! Have used it much and works fine!

Compact and light
What a fabulous product have used it twice, boils quickly didn’t notice any after taste as other reviews have stated. Looking forward to taking on my travels.

Incorrect listing
version received was euro version, comes with a euro style plug; easily switched to a UK plug and only needs a 5A fuse. Very cool little kettle and amazing for the price, using in home micro office.

Didn't work had to return!
Really disappointed with this....not only does it look a nice little kettle, but we literally have no other as moving into a new house (it's not exactly easy to whip to stores currently) so I eagerly awaited it's arrival so that I could actually make my baby's formula using it...only to find that it doesn't work...won't turn on at all :(We tried a few different sockets to ensure it wasnt the socket that didn't work....but no matter what we tried...it just wouldnt turn on! Asked the seller for replacement but they just told us to return it.So now I have the bother of having to wrap it back up, drop it at the Post Office...and then try and find another kettle!!So much for buying things online making things easier!!

Bigger than the GK320, without the voltage switch on the bottom
The size is nice, and the price is nice, as long as you don't need to change back and forth from 110V to 220V.The silicone pot is nice, even if you never collapse it. The collapsing works well for traveling (NOT to those other countries with 220V electricity, mind you). It works easily, as long as you realize that the top fold goes in while the bottom fold stays out, so press in a bit on the top line while pushing down on the lid and you should get great results. To unfold, just pull up a bit and it pops back out.The pot heats very quickly and turns off automatically when boiling temperature is reached. Of course if you live at high altitude, it's not quite so quick to turn off because your water actually started boiling at a lower temperature. (In my case, at 7000'/2000m, water boils at around 200 degrees F/195 degrees C.) All pots without a pressure chamber do this. While the pot isn't large, this makes no practical difference as the water heats so fast, unless you need to add more than about three mugs of water (.7 Liters) all at once. Also since the pot does not have a removable base, making it more portable, if you want to move the pot across the room you just pull the plug from the wall. I found this worked quite well as the cord is not terribly long. Tip: Pull the plug out before you pick up the pot ;-)

Small, portable and the price is nice
I opened the box that it was shipped in and was surprised at the size of the box the product was in. Don't be downtrodden though!!! This little electric kettle is great!! I have an electric kettle for my kitchen. It is 1500 watts so the water is boiling in a flash. This is 820 watts so it takes a bit to heat a full pot of water. That's ok!! Why you may wonder. It's strictly for my camping use. When you're camping it's all good on how long it takes for water to boil. No hurry, no worries. The kettle folds down small and compact. It shuts off when it reaches temperature. From what I do understand from other reviewers you need to turn it off or unplug it so it doesn't try to boil the water when it starts cooling. Didn't try that myself. The silicone part is nice and sturdy and doesn't get super hot. The lid opens wide to dry it out when you get ready to fold it down for storage. The only negative thing I have to say is I wish the cord was removable so you could carry it to the table without dragging it with you. Other than that one tiny thing it works like a dream and the price is good.

I'm a big fan - far better than immersion heaters
Really really like this. I wish it was smaller and more compact and lighter (I guess that's what we all want from stuff we travel with) but it does fold down pretty compactly and it isn't too heavier. Most importantly, it's so functional it's just worth what ever space/weight it takes up! Using an immersion heater in a hotel room is such a dicey proposition - not safe, can burn up, can burn your fingers. And they heat up only one cup at a time. We were able to safely heat water for coffee and oatmeal while we were getting ready to go. Really nice for a quick morning getting ready to head out for a full day of vacation activities. Instead of nursing an immersion heater the kettle took care of it wonderfully. It just works and it works well. Get one - you'll be glad you did and you'll wonder why you waited so long to get one!

Great for travel or office
I bought this for travel and my office- I'm not disappointed. It appears to be well made and comes to a boil when full fast and even faster when only boiling about 12-16oz.It's small enough to fit in my carry on luggage without giving up too much space. You can probably pack and stuff if it in your luggage without issue.I didn't give five stars because it has a safety feature that shuts off the power as soon as it reaches a the boiling point and stays off for longer than I would like. It's not a huge deal, I bypass by shutting off the power before it shuts off on its own. This allows be to bring it to a boil again without having to wait.If they it allowed you to set the temp this thing would be perfect.I've only had it for a couple weeks, I hope it lasts.

Updated review: still happy after 2+ years!
Update: after regular use for more than 2 ½ years, my little kettle is still fast and easy to use! On several occasions, I have cleaned the hard water scale from the bottom by boiling vinegar and water; if you don't let it build up too much, it's quickly and easily cleaned. Although originally purchased for travel, it has earned a permanent spot on the kitchen counter between trips!Original review:I was skeptical about this little kettle; happily I was wrong! It collapses as shown (it takes a bit of practice, but once you have the hang of it, it's quick and easy) and it heats water FAST. If I start the water, by the time I have everything ready typically I have hot water. We take this with us when we travel to make all kinds of "just add hot water" things - everything from ramen, hot cocoa, oatmeal, tea, and yes, even coffee(!) and it works beautifully. We typically use bottled drinking water when traveling, and tap water at home.Just make sure that you allow the unit to cool with a small amount of water left in the bottom. Drain that out, and dry the interior, collapse it, and onward you go!
