A beautiful look at the most difficult subject
I recently lost my Mother and my four year old was extremely upset about Her passing. This book was recommended to my Wife and we have read it with our son and used it to talk to him, in a positive way about the subject of death and loss. The illustrations by Thea Baker are superb and Joanna Rowland's storytelling is sensitive and emotive. My Wife and I would recommend this book to Children of all ages.

Great for children 6-10.
I have brought 2 of these to help children try to understand death. Unfortunately children struggle but this book really helped my neice when she lost her grandad to COVID and I brought it for my friends children when they lost their grandmother also to COVID.It’s a great little book and really helped them all with coming to terms with the death of a loved one. I will buy it again next time it’s needed. The age range of the children I got this for was 6-10 years old.

Sensitively written and gentle illustration
The book deals with death and does tug on your heartstrings. I think it's a beautiful book. It does have I think two pages depicting Christian images
