Very helpful for a beginner at growing and caring for peonies. Beautiful pictures too!

This book is simple to read. Has lots of pictures, not just beautiful flowers, but pics that will teach you something. The book is not long, and she doesn't try to "fluff " it up, to make it stretch out. She gives a lot of information, in a easy to learn format. She gives a very summary at the end of what she covered. I have several long books about peonies, and this one is the best . Short, simple, to the point book.

This is a beautiful book. It is the author's own story and expertise. It isn't exactly what I wanted, but I know it will help me.

The author writes in the most easy to read style, and her stories of her peony travails were always entertaining. There is a lot of useful information in here on how to succeed with peonies. The author even includes information on how to transplant them, which is traditionally considered a terrible mistake, and the nuts and bolts of it are rarely discussed — but sometimes you just have to do it! Highly recommend this book fo all peony gardeners.

This is a superb book on learning the loving care of the Peony. It expertly outlines what they are, how to buy them, how to plant and nourish them. How to cut them for inside pleasure and how to divide them when they get big. I love this book with loads of pictures! My organic gardening teacher taught me a lot but it was very long ago. So this was a great review and gave me a confidence boost. If you know nothing or a little about these gorgeous flowers this book will help you!

I enjoy peonies and so does my daughter-in-law. She has just moved to Vermont. This book gives some growers and varieties that will grow there.
