Wartech and Tac Force make the best "assisted opening" knives under $100 each by far
Wartech and Tac Force make the best "assisted opening" knives under $100 each by far! The 9" "7006's and 7008's" are the sturdiest, most reliable, and effective knives I have ever found under $100. Sure there are other knifes that will do the same or maybe more (a Gerber that I carried when I was active duty Army Special Forces comes to mind). The Gerber was a "Automatic" (Switchblade) and was a fine knife. However, what the Wartech and Tac Force knives do for the price is amazing. Get one and see...you will not be disappointed. The fit and finish are exemplary and while they come out of the box sharp, do yourself a favor and use a 400-800 grit sharpening stone to really put an edge on the new knife. The "1065 Surgical Stainless Steel" used on the Wartech line is as good as it gets. Tac Force uses "440 Surgical Stainless Steel" which is more than adequate. I almost hesitate to share this information, as it may cause a shortage in the aforementioned knives. I will share with the expectations that Wartech will increase manufacturing to meet demand. I am a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the U.S Army, and have seen and used almost every knife imaginable in one form or another. These Wartech and the Tac Force knives are the real deal.

Great for the most part
This is a good knife, which has held up very well thus far. However the flashlight loves to turn itself on if you have it clipped inside your pocket. I carry mine on the left as I have my CC on the right. I finally just taped the stupid thing in the off position. Also, the windshield/glass breaking tip likes to come unscrewed and fall out. Twice I found it as I cleaned out my pockets just before laundry. I glued it into place as well, but really did not expect to have to rig up my pocket knife prior to use. Otherwise this would be a 5 star product.

Poor Quality Junk....Save your Money
Garbage. I used it less than a week. It seemed sharp enough out of the box and decent. Then I pulled it out of my pocket and the locking mechanism had fallen apart. Now its just a paperweight. Very unreliable and junky. I didn't expect a lot for $10 but I did expect it to last more than a week.

LED isn't operatable
I got the knife and liked the mechanical mechanism but the LED light didn't work even with the paper removed and the battery inserted both way.

Great knife
Good: came early. Blade comes sharp. flashlight requires the small circular batteries. Blade come out fairly easy. clip is solid and intact. Flashlight turns on when top is twisted(Had to figure that out because knife doesn't come with any directions, which is really no big deal). Bad: nothing really. There is more saw the regular blade on the blade though. Good to carry if you work at night or do stuff at night. Bottom line: Great for the price, nice size, recommend it to someone who needs a knife to carry around.

Would like to see some kind of modification to make it ...
Flashlight tends to turn off too often while in my pocket or when I have it clipped to my belt. Would like to see some kind of modification to make it more on/off featured instead of just screwing the lid down tighter or loosening it. Feel like it could lose the bulb and lid while walking around with it on my belt. Worst offense, the screw holding the light fell out as I took the knife out of the box when I got it. Lock tight anyone?

Great Tactical Knife!
I carry this on me at all times. Very intimidating blade and handle features. The flashlight is held on by a single tiny screw which fell off upon the first drop, but some waterproof superglue fixed it. Sharp as a brand new razor blade! The glass breaker works and could crack a human skull if swung hard enough..
