I don't know why this boat is called an "easy build." It is a pretty standard double plank on bulkhead boat kit. There is nothing easy about these boats. The instructions- like most- assume you know what you are doing and its easy to make missteps if this is your first boat.Additionally, the kit did not come with enough mahogany wood for the second planking. I've read in other places that for some reason, that is common with the kit. I had a separate source I had to buy more.So, it's a nice little boat- but it will take a lot of effort to build. Don't be fooled by "easy build" and don't expect to do this in a rainy weekend or two.

This model has good bones laser cuts are excellent, that being said it is not for beginners. Instructions are merely photos mostly coming from a disc supplied with model. I have made many wooded ship models this will be a challenge.

I like this model, parts are of high quality, some of them are already precut. However not all parts are, veneers need to be cut from provided stock. I used all of the venneers provided and did not have enough to finish my hull. Some other pices of wood are not the same (off by 2mm). I had to use some of my own wood. Brass wire does not come in 15 cm sections as stated in the manual.I think that part of the problem is that instructions are not updated or detailed enough. This kit might say Easy Build but dont be fulled. My recomendation is to have some spare parts laying around and take your time.
